An Angel's Humble Wish

I'm just a fallen angel
who's struggling to find
a home in the world,
leaving heaven behind.

I have lost my faith,
I have lost my truth
I sleep on the sidewalks
when evenings are late

I'm just one of billions
in the world on a whole
still I wish to be seen
as one single soul

Please smile at me
and say something kind
to make me feel better
to give me peace of mind

I wrote this after watching "City of Angels", with Meg Ryan and Nicholas Cage... Considering English isn't my mothertounge (I'm from Finland), this is quite good. I'm really not good at writing poems, but I do wish that someone might think this is worth reading....

A lovely poem.   I sleep on the sidewalk when evening shadows move.   I was inspired to write Samurai after watching Ghost Dog and Romeo must Die.   James

City of angels is one of my most favorite movies of all time I bought it as soon as it was available to buy and never tire of watching it, sometimes watch it 2-3 times in a row.  Nice place to find inspiration
