Majestic realms once peopled
of plain ordinary folk
Expectant land illumined
by imagination stoked

Fires of some inner forge
with precision smelted sight
March forth the first division
of illusionary knights

They approach the field of battle
"Sub-concious" by the Id
An ominous land divided
by Lord Sir Real's bid

Intrepid armies clash
horrendous is the sound
Valiant efforts all expire
to litter this , their battle ground

So is this the cause of my writer's block perhaps? LOL   Great poem, Dr. Moose! I enjoyed this very much!

Doc... you been sampling the meds out of your bag again... cause if so, throw some my way. A very fine vision here.  See ya at Area 51 and bring your secret decoder ring... the cat blinks Morris code and I've had one to many gin and tonics. hick'

I think you should do a series! I like this type of poem very much..there is an 'old world' quality to it...

When all your aspirations fall short of the mark, it may be worse than writer's block .Thanks

Pardon my shame-less promotion of these two , but I thought  that if I bumped them together they might make more sense
