I am just a gimmick from nineteen eighty-three < !signature-->I’m not Jar Jar Binks though you may think of me You kept me in the box but then you couldn’t wait I am just a plush toy your dog most likely ate You think I’m worth big bucks? You sir think erratic The rats got to me when you left me in the attic So put your Official Star Wars price guide away I’m a part of your youth so please just let me stay But then I got to thinking. Hey I am an Ewok! How I’m still here if Toys R’ Us is out of stock Because plush toy Ewoks they just weren’t made to last How come I’m so limber? How come I am so fast? One time in the Eighties I saw a show called Alf Luckily no humans around to see me ralph I’ve never dined on humans but cats are fine with me Yet I was just a gimmick from nineteen eighty-three I tried ABC, NBC, and CBS They all laughed at me when I asked for Alf’s address So I’m just going to sit here and cry a lonely tear Next to these plastic toys: Woody and Buzz Lightyear All Day I Dream About Stanzas!! Thats so sad. My cat chewed my ewok, and used as a sraching post. By the time he was recovered there was barley anything left.  |

Ya... I remember those over sized hairballs... Darth should have kicked butt, but I guess Endor was his personal Nam. Where's a death star when ya really need one! As always Walt... you is waaaaay out! A fun read... thanks for sharing. |

hehehe fuzzy memories thaz a good one...this is a tale of commercialism, finding oneself, and sittin next to a couple of toy story stars and thinking your alone..i bet there playin strip poker as we speak!! |

Awww.. poor little Ewok... brings back memories from my child hood when I cried over a rabit that my mom gave me at birth... I wonder if she cried too when she accidently threw it away? Hmm.. I'll have to ask her some day. =) Very nice poem... not just and jumbled up mess of words can make me feel sorry for a stuffed animal, but you did it. =) "The storm rises up when the shadows descend every beat of my heart every day without end I will stand like a rock I will bend till I break till theres no more to give if thats what it takes I will risk everything I will fight I will bleed I will lay down my life if thats what you need every second I live thats the promise I make" I have no idea who wrote this... tell me if you know. =) |
