Two stars met within the night,
Pausing in eternal flight,
One could sing, the other write.
Music was made from their passionate light.
On the Earth below, to see the sight,
Of flaming orbs met in the night
That grew within each others sight
To shed down such a beautiful light.
Tis rare for stars to meet at all,
When they collide surely one will fall.
Rarer still within the night
For them to pause in endless flight.
No collision, no explosive bang
Just light and heat were the songs they sang.
And then like stars must and have to do
Their song was over, and they were through
The pause ended quietly, without a shout
But all of us were left without doubt
That we had been blessed within the night
To see these stars pause in their endless flight.

Knowlege tempered by wisdom...Wisdom tamed by youth.

Well this was certainly a shock to log on and find, Robert.  You know, I was telling Gen the other day that some stars burn so bright, we can see the light from them for thousands of years after they're gone.  I like to think we gave that kind of never-ending light to those who witnessed "us".  I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Michael - It does my heart good to see her happy...I think Gen's still looking for what her father and my mother have found and I pray indeed she can find it and herself.  I pray the same for you.

Oh Robert...you are truly a warm and gifted soul.  You have a way with making me cry everytime you write something for me.  I think it's because, even as we are "new" brother and sister, you have a way of knowing me...you are sensitive to my heart - and you care.
Your concept of our relationship (mine & Michael's) shows it in a beautiful light many would have never seen...it makes ME see it in a way, I hadn't thought of before.  Thank you - if I can ever repay you for all the kind and caring words you devote to me as your sister, I surely will.  If nothing else, I KNOW I can make you laugh, just by dragging out photo albums!
I've read this over 3 times now, and I'm still crying...you're good man, posessing wonderful talent for seeing into other's hearts...and reaching out.  Big hugs to you!

Denise -- glad you liked it.

Gen -- What can I say?  I think of you whether I want to or not.   I'm actually a little surprised at how easy you are to reach out to and I'm glad that my words bring such emotion.  Never lose your loving heart, sis, an that is re-payment enough.  Your bro.

I pray only the same Robert.  You know, I can't help but recall something of Gen's father and your mother having some type of mild attraction some years past - only to lose it and find themselves together some years later.  Am I remembering right here?  I believe it has everything to do with timing and God's will being served, not man's.  I am sure Gen will find her happiness one day, as will I.  In the meantime I will proudly call her friend and cherish what we once had.  Thank you again.

Absolutely stunning, Robert .....
I was privy to watch those two stars shine , and with Hoot, I agree, ... They sure did shine together ... and still shine brightly ... two wonderful souls that talent is genius ....

Robert, do you really think I'm easy to reach out to?  Just you saying that touches me, as I've always felt so *far out there*....lost somewhat, so far away I distance myself from those who love me...I'm not sure why I do that...and here I go again, crying.  lol  I think you've just inspired another poem from me sir.  You'll like this one I think...I'll post it soon.  It'll be for you.

Yes Beki, I have the distince pleasure of being Gen's brother.  Although we have not been siblings long it seems like we've been so for a long long time.  She is a delightful person with so much to share and I'm glad to see her reach out to such greatful people here in Passions.
