I’ll Meet You in the Winds

How shall I ever swiftly bring
My heart to be enjoined with yours
I cannot mount an angel wing
And soar the space to distant shores

What shall I do when words suggest
Enchanting notions from afar
I cannot cling to eagle’s breast
And fly the course by evening star

What can I say when you impart
Radiant words my heart consumes
Shall I refuse a meadowlark
The serenade of love's sweet tunes

What shall I do when lovers dream
Of an impossible rendezvous
I cannot catch a moonlight stream
And swing on threads of light to you

I have no wing to navigate
The lovely blueness of the sky
I cannot beg a moonbeam’s grace
To carry me to love afar

I’ll climb the hill in summer’s air
You stand upon the ocean shore
I’ll meet you in the winds of dare
And love you there forever more

Simply wonderful Liz... all this talk lately of wind and such is making me want to go skydiving again. =)

"The storm rises up when the shadows descend
every beat of my heart every day without end
I will stand like a rock I will bend till I break
till theres no more to give if thats what it takes
I will risk everything I will fight I will bleed
I will lay down my life if thats what you need
every second I live thats the promise I make"

I have no idea who wrote this... tell me if you know. =)

Elizabeth, very poetic.  Another wonderful piece from your talented pen.

Elizabeth,
Read I'm in the wind. Your poem was so lovely I had to answer. Excuse the liberty.

Elizabeth,
Lovely is not a strong enough word to describe the beauty in this poem.  I must agree with denise that this is breathtaking.

I’ll climb the hill in summer’s air
You stand upon the ocean shore
I’ll meet you in the winds of dare
And love you there forever more

These words say it all.

~you reached inside, you touched my heart,
and I am all the better for it~
