State of constant confusion!

0 posted 2000-04-12 08:00 PM

Today is a day of change for me
I'm no longer looking back
I'm going on to find my destiny
My future to atack
No more waiting for things I've left behind
No more living in the past
I know someday I'll find true love
In the meantime I'm gonna have a blast

********************************************

Thank you Ruth for your beautiful words
they made me look into my heart and find myself

Jeffrey, very nicely said - what a stirring response to Ruth's poem!

Hey! This sounds like a darn fine idea! Maybe something I ought to try! Play today and let tomorrow worry about itself!
Great poem! Inspirational!

Cool... enjoying the time you spend without that true love will make it go by MUCH faster... just don't let it all go by so fast that you look back one day and go.... "Eeek!  I'm getting to old to pick and choose!!!"  My father told me that not to long ago and I'm only 24!!!!  I think he's just picking on me though... I'm not settling for less than what I want just yet. =)  Actually I probably never will, I just die a lonely old man playing checkers with his friends if she's not out there.

"The storm rises up when the shadows descend
every beat of my heart every day without end
I will stand like a rock I will bend till I break
till theres no more to give if thats what it takes
I will risk everything I will fight I will bleed
I will lay down my life if thats what you need
every second I live thats the promise I make"

I have no idea who wrote this... tell me if you know. =)

WhiteNite,
I now believe that sometimes you don't have to have true love to be happy, but it wouldn't hurt.
I also believe there is someone out there for each of us. We don't always pay close enough attention to the signs and true love can slip right through our hands.
Just have fun looking.

Indeed, Live for today Jeffrey.  The future grows shorter with every hour spent in the past.  There is much love, and much life awaiting you my friend.

Jeffery...why thank you   I'm honored to have inspired this in what ever small way I did. Nice poem and we can never go back, only forward. I hope you find what you're looking for, just remember...sometimes what we look for has been infront of our face from the beginning, we were just to blind to see it

~luxury~

do you understand
that love
is a luxury

not a thing needed
for life

like air
and water
and food
and shelter

love is
canned
and bottled
and processed
and customized

only to make life easier

nice one Jeffrey...I hope you find your luxury in life...keep up the positive attitude!

It's time to move on...(As Jeffrey Carter said)
I think I'll take some Ex-lax, (my stomach feels like lead)

Now I'm running outta luck, Got behind this chicken truck,
Exlax is working, gotta move on, down to the truck stop and hit the john.

Mr. Carter, you're poetry's great, keep up the good work, you're really first rate.

Welcome to Passions, you'll love the folks here, But watch out for LongJohn and the damned Balladeer!
