With this ring…….I’ll be led

You’ve changed
Of course! They always do
You still love me
And you think I love you too

Hold out your hand
Close your eyes
A shimmering diamond
To my shock and surprise

How could you think
I could even accept
After breaking free
Of the cage, where I was kept

I’m no longer your slave and punching bag
I gave away my ironing board
And learned not to say
“Yes, of course my Lord”

Forget it!
You,  I will not wed
Fate doesn’t lie
With this ring…I’ll be led

Teresa. thank-you and I hope so.

Balladeer, sorry...it's just I have such trouble saying what I mean..... Not in this lifetime!

Troy, I think he may just get it this time.

Well.. we don't share the same views on marrage but it sounds like maybe you've been through it and I haven't???

Very nice poem just the same.

"The storm rises up when the shadows descend
every beat of my heart every day without end
I will stand like a rock I will bend till I break
till theres no more to give if thats what it takes
I will risk everything I will fight I will bleed
I will lay down my life if thats what you need
every second I live thats the promise I make"

I have no idea who wrote this... tell me if you know. =)

OOOOOH..scared of you Marina-girl

excellent declaration my friend...
way to be...way to say (smile)
take care, jm

Well the sun sets gently on your shoulders
And it makes me want to touch you there.
And the light in your eyes makes me feel
Like there's something much better out there
Something kind...
And I know someday I might be looking around
Trying to find some purpose
Well purpose it can't be that hard to find
As long as I've got the wind...
The wind and your love to carry me.

Jeffrey, thanks for the post and the support

Whitenite, I woulnd't exactly say it's my view on marriage....perhaps just married to this person

Sven, I'm trying to put myself back together and I needed to release some feelings that this person has obivouisly created in me. Thanks for your support my friend. You know that I appreciate it more then ever.

Jm, you know me!  I don't go quietly!

Sometimes thats they way it makes us feel I suppose.
Looking for treasures...found another one.
Missing this poet too.
