Thank you sweet Parker for your very kind replies,
I guess you know by now ... you evoke many a SIGH.
Your romantic poems ... make the ladies of Passions swoon,
your write such lovely poems, you sing a lovely tune.
I am so very flattered by your offer to serenade ...
and I just read the first gift of that offer made.
Im so pleased you got your poetry fixx --
I thought I'd throw this one in the mix.
I'll make a deal here with you on this poem post...
think of it as a poetic challenge ... I wish to host.
You serenade me...I'll serenade you...
and I'm hoping many others will join in too.
Lets just see how romantic we can get...
I dont know about you ... I've not tired of romance yet.
Lets fill this post with poems ... of love, devotion, and trust ...
and just for our added pleasue ... a healthy dose of "innocent lust."
We will usher in spring ... with romance, class, and grace,
and hopefully put a smile of pleasure on our face...
We can even have some fun ... while we rhyme and flirt...
if we all promise to TRY to behave ... what could it hurt. (OH DEAR) LOL
So tell me my poetic friends are you up to this game?
Let's make sweet Parker live up to his romantic fame.

(nothing like a little pressure huh Parker?)(smile)

all in fun...always  jm

So here I am, in the process of doing a little research, to try and secretly put out a nice little serenading poem. And what comes up before me, in Neon letters no less, but your little challenge telling me to put my butt in gear. This is no fair, and it sure spoiled the surprise. I hope I can live up to this pedestal you've put me on..... and for that matter can't say I've ever done it on a pedestal.

oh Parker hon, you misunderstand--
I would never rush you or put you on demand.
I was only teasing trying to make you smile...
and hoping we all could post --
some love poems here for awhile...
I would never wish to ruin your sweet surprise...
only wanted to write a poem for your kind poetic eyes.
As for you up on a pedestal... there you do belong...
OH please dont make me beg...sing us your sweet song.
And if you serenade me...I'll serenade you...
and we will see who else wants joins in the fun too.

(as for the doing it on a pedestal...
are you still free saturday) LOLOL
KIDDING JUST KIDDING..trying to make you smile

Romantic Heart, I must confess that I have been afraid
To tell you what I think of you in some sweet serenade.
Though I have loved your picture and your words since your first day
When it comes time to spell it out I don't know what to say.

I know by how you speak of love you are the one for me
And I would love to know if we can click romantically.
You paint such vivid pictures with your poetry so sweet
And I can just imagine how it will be if we meet.

I picture you in dress of white curled up on the divan.
When I come in, you realize that I'm your only man.
You slowly rise to greet me....oh, the beauty of your face!
I cannot help but take you in a passionate embrace.

Your lips meet mine and I explode. My body is on fire
And I am lost quite hopelessly in passion and desire.
A gentle moan escapes my lips and I hear one from you
And all the world has disappeared except for just we two.

With skin as soft as your sweet words I'm dazzled by your charms
And I could handle anything with you there in my arms.
Although I've never felt your kiss, I'm sure it must be sweet.
Intoxicated I would be by your lips, should we meet.

So there you have them...my emotions boldly on parade
Trying to explain my thoughts in this poor serenade.
So, if you think I'm not too bad and maybe kinda groovy
Just let me know and I'll come by and....let's take in a movie!!!

A Romantic Serenade-(song I wrote-written for? To Janets challenge)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My love, shall I have this dance,
I will serenade you with song,
I will hold thy heart into my hands,
Embrace you close all night long,

Underneath the clouds, the heavens above,
Let me shower you with MY song of love...

(song I wrote-One True Love)
You are my heart I sing,
To me your everything,
I will give you love,
What you dream of,

My one true love...

And ever you should cry,
I'll kiss the tears from your eyes,
Forever true....
I'll always love you...

My one true love,

And when the winds come and go...
I'll be the fortress in the rain,
I'll be your comfort through the pain,

Near or far, where ever you are...

My one true love......(goes high with music solo)

I would go to the ends of the earth,
cross the shores and the seas...
deeper than all eternity...

To show you...to give you my love.....

(Solo)

And as the years come and go,
Your heart I will forever hold,
Together you and me...

No regrets will I find,
For your love was true to mine,
I will be free.....

Knowing...My one true love.....Truely loved me.....

My One.....True.....Love.....(whisper)I will love you forever...My love!

I'm thinking pedestals and such
Movies..dinner and packing a lunch
To sit and watch the sparks fly
And softly whisper..... "oh my"
What a thought my S.S. has had
and thinking ohhhhhhh she's "bad"
One more thing we do share
For this she has a flare!
A challenge offered to eachother
one question....Parker do you have a brother???
lol
Way to go J.M.
This should be fun

 Hold me for yesterday
Kiss me for tomorrow
But love me for today.

A serenade?  A game to play?
More fun when we have more.
A simple little poem
To even up the score...

I'll send my love a a smile today;
I'll send my love a kiss.
I'll send my love a little note
So that he won't miss.

For when he's not around, you see,
I miss his bright green eyes.
I miss the way he says my name.
I miss the way he sighs.

Good thing that he's waiting.
Good thing that he's near.
For I think that I might tell you
More than you want to hear.

So, serenade and sing your songs.
We'll all take the chance,
And wait for the reply,
To know with whom we dance.

And as for me,
I'm off to see
Those dancing bright green eyes
Before the night grows older
And he begins to sigh.

this will heat things up...it sure should.
Lots of romance, desire and Passion...
looks love is still in style and in fashion.
All us poets better get ready to start...
Balladeer already confessed to Romantic Heart.
Romantic Heart wrote us such a beautiful love filled song-
and Butterfly dropped by to sing along.
Krysondra wrote a most lovely and perfect serenade...
and I wrote this corny verse...my nights bill is paid. (lol)

all of this beautiful verse
set before my eye,
romance is in the air,
so i guess i'll give it a try...

i have to admit, i'm new here,
i've never seen your faces,
i'm not sure who's my favorite, yet,
so can i feel each of your embraces?

with loads of love to share,
i have enough for all,
so whomever is feeling excited,
needs only to give me a call.

for it only takes a single rhyme
to put me in the mood,
and thanks to all this poetry,
it wouldn't take much to get me nude...

with one soft kiss i could take you away
your heart racing all the while,
and as i hear your breath in my ear,
i promise to make you smile...

and after the ecstasy has come and gone
i still will hold you close,
for i am not the ass that it sounds,
i only wrote this for a post

Balladeer, I think your groovey,
What shall be the movie?

Not only are you sweet,
But a romantic poet to beat,

I loved your poem, I am humbly honored,
To have such a man seranade me,

With Beautiful words of love and poetry,
You have amazed me, I must surrender,
My knight was right before me,
Shareing a heart so tender,

Not only can you write lovely poetry,
But your words of humor are so funny,

So what tune will you sing your love song to?
I will bring some candles as we dance under the moon...

I think I've exhausted my romantic juices for the night
I had a few thoughts earlier, but now they're just not right

I wanted to ask for a kiss, and make it sound real nice
But now I'm just too tired, and I think weaubleau stole my spice

Balladeer was so charming, he swept RH off her feet
Jan is going for Parker, with whom I can't compete

Krysondra so filled with skill, seems to have left the party soon
She had a date with an Angel, I think his eyes made her swoon

There was a pretty butterfly dancing early in the game
Now she's waiting for Parker's brother, what was his name?

So here I stand as usual, a flower on the wall
Watching the pretty people dance, waiting for one to fall

My flirtatious Femme is still missing from this happy occasion
Maybe she'll dance with me with a little bit of persuasion

(smile)

------------------------------------------------------
I do have a poem ready to post I'm just letting it sit on my computer for the night to make sure there's nothing I want to change when I wake up refreshed in the morning. =)  I'm not quite as skilled as some of you... takes me three hours to get one to sound worthy of your eyes and you guys can rattle them off in minutes....   Maybe Ill get better with practice. =)

Night my lovely poets, have fun or die trying... see ya tomorrow.< !signature-->

every beat of my heart every day without end
I will stand like a rock I will bend till I break
till theres no more to give if thats what it takes
I will risk everything I will fight I will bleed
I will lay down my life if thats what you need
every second I live thats the promise I make"

I have no idea who wrote this... tell me if you know.  =)

White knight come back and stay,
You have the right words to play,

If I had a chance I will dance,
For a Fair maiden needs her knight,

To dance underneath the stars so bright,
Your poetry I do admire,

We could seranade as we promenade,
This dance of loves passionate desire,

All the replies are SO darn GOOD...
you poets met the challenge so well--
just like I knew you would.
This is fun...making us smile,
and inspiring too...
you all write with such stlye.
Balladeer got his reply from Romantic Heart,
WOW I think a dance under the moon...
is a perfect place to start.
And much to my sheer delight...
I even got a poem--
out of my pal Whitenite...
and OH its a good one too,
he's made his romantic claim--
he even snuck in flirt or two
His words were so divine...
he got me inspired again,
and feeling fine.
And back comes the lovley Romantic Heart with reply...
and the glimmer of romance,
in her smiling eyes.
I do believe there is romance in the air...
who else is feeling frisky...
please take this dare.

jm is smiling.

She Waits

I’ve never sang a love song
Or wrote a sonnet for you
But, I’ll sing a song of loves refrain
Just to steal a kiss or two

She waits with unguarded passions
Like the heart that sings this tune,
And asks the unbridled questions?
In whispers to the crescent moon.

Oh enchanter of earthly lovers,
Send a spell that I can use
tell cupid I need his wonder
and some arrows to shoot my muse

She waits this darling of passions
For a sign that might get through
And we watch with wishful emotions
At a dream, that we all dream too.

Oh enchanter of earthly lovers,
Send a spell that she can use
Take the heart that put her under
And bind it to her with loving glue.

She waits this poet of passions
For the moon to help her through
I wonder if he is listening
If not, there’s only one thing to do!

Forget him and kiss me you fool.

Parker my poetic friend ...
you make me sigh and swoon.
You are the crowned prince of romance,
all us chicks think you hung the moon.
You words are heaven sent,
no woman could ask for more,
and of my challenge ...
this perfect poem settles the score.
You wrote a SO very, lovely song ...
a beautiful, sweet, serenade.
Its beauty will last forever,
these poetic words to never fade.
I am so honored that you would do this ...
and I'm delightfully giddy ...
that you wish to steal a kiss.
I'm also touched by you ---
that you asked cupid to help me ...
that's so very kind of you ...
to offer up that plea.
For you...just like I ...
patiently wait for loves sign.
I know your heart longs for another ...
a lovely poet of rhyme.
And while I'm tempted ...
to steal a kiss or two,
I hope you'll understand ...
that my heart remains true.
I will wait here --
with you and the moon ...
and we'll write new verse--
to make our poets sigh and swoon.
How can they resist our poems...
our love they do define.
Parker and Janet Marie ...
their hearts belong to their partners in rhyme.
jm

THANK YOU PARKER!!

....whispering to Janet, "Who's that flower on the wall?"
"He looks to be quite handsome standing there so dark and tall..."
"Those brown eyes captivate me, should I ask him for this dance?"
"I wonder if he'll think I'm just a flirt, & ditch this chance?"
Janet whispers back, "How the heck am I to know?"
"Girl, just don't make a snack of him - - go easy, take it slow!"

I look across the crowded room & make my way to him...
I bat my eyes & then I see his ever sexy grin...
I stop right smack in front of him & kneel down on both knees -
"Sir WhiteNite, I am asking you to dance this dance.....er...please?"

Um...I'm not sure how this thread works Janet, was I suppose to reply to Marge since I posted underneath her???  Uh....I'm willing to attempt to profess my love for her, if I have to.....(ahem)  Here goes:   (blushing)

Er.....There is this gal I know
and her name is Mercy Marge -
She gets my blood a pumpin'
when she takes poetic charge!
I like to hold her in my arms
and gaze into her eyes...
I thought I had to have a man -
she took me by surprise!
I chase her through the meadows
where we get mosquito bit -
and I tell ya, when we fool around
I have to be half-lit !!
(Ahem...)

I've done some thinking Mercy Marge,
you're not the one for me -
You lack the plumbing that I need
I'm straight as straight can be!!!

Sorry Marge, I'm just not feeling the *groove* with ya girl - I hope you understand... LOL  That chemistry just isn't there toots.  (leaving stage in a heated blush with pinkish cheeks for sure!)

and Margie has requested a dance under the milky way.
Oh Margie you wrote a lovely serenade...
I hope you'll get a reply from the love for which it is made.
And if he don't step up to the plate... (I wouldn't worry)
I think Poet Femme just asked you out on a date (LOL)
But it seems her eyes are looking toward my pal Whitenite...
He left her quite a flirty post ... and a photo in sight.
With her he seems most smitten ...
but who could resist our Femme kitten.
Maybe they will work up the nerve to dance ...
we cant find romance...without taking a chance...
Lean over here Gen and I'll whisper in your ear...
my friend Whitenite is such a dear.
So here we all are enjoying these romantic replies...
and I again wish to thank Parker for my poetic *sigh*

But I'm telling you girl, with true love, I can't win!
All of the men here are so scared of me,
I can't even (wink), they run screaming from me!  LOL
Is it my name, or the way that I look?
I love to hike nude, and I am a great cook!
Janet, do tell me why I have to beg -
the men, they just whimper & wet down their leg....

Perhaps its your humor and quick wit--
they're afraid they cant keep up with it.
I truly havent a clue what goes thur mens heads.
something once long ago was said...
The way to a mans heart is thru his tummy...
so hit the kitchen and cook up something yummy.

To a very flattering Femme
-------------------------

I was standing on the wall so long, I think my legs fell asleep
But my heart was racing, anticipating the moment when we meet

As I saw you moving towards me, I could hear every beat
And now you kneel before me, a tragedy so sweet

I can't believe those beautiful eyes, are gazing up at me
Grab my hand fair maiden, let me pull you to your feet

Of course I'll accept this dance, it's as if a dream come true
I thought I saw an angel last night, but now I know 'twas you

I can't believe how soft your skin, and how warm your embrace
And every heaven I've ever dreamed, I see in your face

And if there ever was a glimpse, of something scarey in your eyes
To have a chance at this dance, I think I'd compromise

---------------------------
(It's not really the ending I was going for but I had to hurry before someone else picked you up off your knees. I saw that look in ol' Jeff's eyes    More to come hopefully.)

I am new here, so don't know anyone but Troy.
But I will give this a shot! Sounded fun
And you guys are doing a great job!

MY LOVE

I would shout upon the rafters
and yell to the mighty sky
and tell the world of my love
and how life did not pass me by.

Consent my darling - come to my
embrace - and I will care for you
throughout eternity, yet still give
you space

Your ruby lips are close to mine
and my heart beats with sudden fire
Ah, the smell of you - the taste of
you - makes me swoon with desire

Just one kiss - as our lips will meet
and you will feel the heart of me
beating upon your chest.
You will feel the warmth of
my ever faithful lips

For you hath granted me the beauty
of the poetry in this very passionate
place.

Thanks all
Warm Regards

Romantic Heart, you answered me!
You wonderful, sweet lass!
The movie that we both will share
Is "Splendor in the Grass".

And, as we lay 'neath starry sky
Upon the grassy blades
I promise I will sing to you
"Longfellow Serenade"!

Geesh! I'm showing my age here! I hope you recognize either one of these

I had to shut down my computer for a rest...
all my Passions posting was putting it to the test.
now Im back to see who's joined in the fun...
Gen has fanited...Whitenite look what you've done.
Darlin' your poem was divine...
it read like a steamy valentine.
I do believe poet Femm is quite impressed,
I do believe her passing out made me guess.
Still you better keep on your toes...
cause I do believe I heard sweet Jeffery propose,
He has asked for the hand of a Passion's maiden...
his romantic poem was devotion laiden.
He is so sweet and sincere...
I know he will find a dance partner here.
And it was so cute when he payed Whitenite his props...
but never give up Jeff...this dance never stops.
Then a new friend joined into the game
netswan...what a beautiful name...
and oh my such a gifted poet...
this serenade sure does show it.
you wrote a passion filled verse of fire...
ruby red lips...hearts beating with desire.
This thread is sure steamy now...
I'm feeling a bit flushed somehow.
I think I'll bid you farewell for a short time...
Im gonna go find my partner in rhyme.

I would gladly give this dance
To what fair maiden take a chance?

Under moonlit starry skies
I shall not tell you honest LIES

To the rhythym of a river's flow
Oh, to see your face in that pale white glow

i'd hope this dance would never end
as we twirled again and again

'twoild put a smile upon my face
just to feel your warm embrace

I would summon the crickets to serenade
the sweet surrender of my fair maid

never again would you be alone
I'd pick you up and take you home

And if this threatened to stop our dance
I would beg another chance

Anyone???

Me... comical?
Surely you jest

I can only pass when romance
Is the medium of the test

But I'll give it a try, if that's what you need
I'll whip up a funny, at my top speed

You see I too am fimiliar, with the ones that run
All these women that seek no more than some fun

They take a look at me and in one glance
They can see a future, and I've lost my chance

For there is a future, here in my eyes
But there is a dance, much to your surprise

Although I'm clumbsy, and may step on your feet
It'll be a cherrished night, this night that we meet

Although I'm not so skilled, at the art of this dance
Just wait till you get me home, and out of my pants

I'll try not to smother you, with poems of roses and sand
But please don't let this be, another one night stand.      (Better?)

Janet Marie, you have a partner in rhyme?
How very fortunate - a love of all time.

Passions stories of wild love, forbidden fruit and exotic dancing
Gets me thinking of nights of stormy romancing

I thank you kindly for noticing my hurried
post
Cheers to you - to you I toast!

You guys are a lot of fun!

I fear I have this strange affliction...
or perhaps a poetic addiction.
I cant seem to stop speaking in rhyme...
in here...on the phone...any time.
My friends all think I've gone quite mad
they're gonna unplug my computer...this is bad.
They dont seem to understand...
I must type with poetic hands.
But I must admit for the night I am rhymed out.
I will return to this though, never doubt.
I will get some rest and then my promises I can keep.
I off to bed...please lord dont let me talk rhymes in my sleep.

night all ... sweet romantic dreams...

I came to this dance in search of romance,
I little love and affection too,

Balladeer has sang to me a sweet serenade,
I feel like a Romantic queen on parade,

I am having so much fun,
I know the night is not over,
For the music has just begun,

I came to dance with words of rhyme,
To flirt a little and have a good time,

I feel like Cinderella,
Seeking a poetic fella,

So many knights, so much love,
What more could a girl dream of?

I will dance and seranade to all who
Give a chance,

To open their hearts by posting poetry of romance,
Don't be afraid to let your love show,
Open your heart let true feelings show,

For who knows? out of this, love will grow?

Ps. Yes Balladeer I know of splendor in the grass..but not the song...need words?

Any Dance Partners Out There For A Little Owl?

I step out on the dance floor
I'm nervous, I'll admit
My dancing shoes are rusty
They need broken in a bit
I look about the crowded room
To see a friendly face
Catch your eyes across the floor
A smile breaks on your face
My heart it's beating quickly
I can scarely catch my breath
Your eyes they show such promise
Such honesty and deepth
You reach to softly take my hand
To hold it in your own
Pull me close into your chest
And Lord it feels like home
We waltz out on the dance floor
Your body against mine
Lost up in your warm embrace
I am feeling fine
You whisper something in my ear
I barely nod my head
Then hand in hand, we leave the floor
Because of what you said

Ah...but what was it??? Smiling

Eagle soar on golden wing
Making the song in my heart sing
Floating...is this Butterfly
With the mention of stary sky

Take me on this flight of dream
and flow with me within this scene
Take my wings and soar with me
Take me on to dream with thee

But as you know the Eagle does fly
Much higher than a wee Butterfly
So gather me close to your heart
Never allowing our souls to part

Oh my Sweet Eagle are you there
for this rhyme you have a flare
So come with me and what can it hurt
To share a innocent little flirt

this tread is surely oooozing with romance.
and many poets return asking for a second dance.
all are searching and stakeing their romantic claim...
were all enjoying this flirtatous game.
And now Hoot-girl has joined in the serenade,
she's looking for that moment when eye contact is made.
Her song is lovely and her heart true blue.
Hoot, I'm sure there is a partner in rhyme just for you.
my sweet little butterfly...has fluttered back by...
with a perfect verse...hoping to catch a Eagles eye.
Balladeer all that you do...you do it with class...
you my sir...are splendor in the grass.
Romantic Heart is living up to her name...
shes so very good at this poetic game. Jeffery and Whitenite...return with promises of true love and devotion.
and OH we ladies love those poetic notions.
Thank you net-swan for your words so kind...
you make me smile and grace my mind.
So who next will take a chance...
who here can resist romance.

*wrings hands and laughs*

Oh, dear...  Oh, dear....
What can I say?
I was gone but just a day...

Now, I'm back and far along
And see how many sang their songs...
Some are hot and some are sweet
And each one with it's perfect beat.

Words of fire, Words of flame...
That caress each new name.
We're all involved.
We can't stop now.
No time for curtain calls.
No time to bow.

So here's my heart, bared on this board
For the angel I love and the rest of the world.

*****************
Angel, Angel in my sky,
Will you teach me how to fly?
You gently mended my broken wings.
You gave me a voice with which to sing.
You taught me love and how to trust...
And some more on how to lust.
We're so high, here on your cloud.
There is no one else around.
You show me now the world so bright
And it's all within our sight.
So here's to you, my Gabriel,
With your silver wings...
Let us never forget all the little things
That make us love each other so
And bind us together
Where ever we may go.

I cherish this dance, that you've given me
Although I'm a clown, I'm not laughing you see -
A tragedy true, yet you helped me stand high
With your tender hand, you have helped me to fly...

So out on the floor now, it's just you and me
I'll teach you to dance, it's so easy, you'll see.
Help me be strong - pull me close - hold me tight
Cradle me now, be my angel tonight...

I need someone strong who will just talk and be -
a man I can lean on, who likes me for me...
I promise I'm not here to strip you down bare
I like you for you - not your cute underwear!

Oh how I long to fly
Just with you, through blue sky
Into the stars where we belong
Fly with me, come be strong!

Throughout the night, into day
My love with me, won't you stay!
Sunshine is welcomed for all to see
This love we have, you and me

My heart now swells and it does sing
As we fly along wing to wing
Our souls now they do entwine
I am yours, will you be mine

Hoot,
I'm riding in on my white horse
dressed in shining armour
Carrying my sword in hand
I see your high brick walls
surrounded by a mossy moat
But it shall not deter me
I will not turn around

I will swim this mossy moat
and loosen the mortar in the bricks of your
walls
and bring them crashing to the ground

And when I see you standing there
shivering and scared
I shall answer your question

I AM YOUR KNIGHT IN SHINING ARMOUR

Are you my damsel in distress?

As the weekend is upon us...
romance fill the air.
so many poets have joined
and taken this romantic dare.
Kryonsdra has come back by
in search of her angel of love
her verse is so enchanting...
it sings like a dove.
Poet Femm has shined her dancing shoes
and is accepting the offer to tango with Whitenite.
Who knows what could happen...
if the chemistry is right.
Eagle One has flown on in
looking for a beautiful butterfly...
off together they will soar
above us in blue sky.
Sir Jeffery returns...
in search of our maiden Ruth...
she is quite the beauty...
her picture tells the truth.
So we are still in the mood for dancing,
we still request the romantic serenade.
Who wishes to sing to us now...
before the romance fades?????

Why I came back in here I don't know
Just couldn't resist the lovers glow
My what talent this group doth have
Each of you has such romantic pizzaz

Knights in shining armor abound
Chasing sweet - lovely damsels around

This room is hot - my face is flushed
If I were a bit younger I surely would blush

Dancing - serenading - and flying with wings
This surely makes my heart start to sing

Keep on writing love words that flow
pitter patter - beat - thud my heart doth go

This has been a pleasurable talented room
but if I don't leave my heart will burst - BOOM

Where oh where could my Hoot Owl be?
I have asked for a dance, but she hasn't answered me.

Maybe I was too late, her castle's already been stormed
Her night in shining armour her heart's already won

But I shall not give up, I shall not turn from the quest
I know that at some point this knight in shining armour, a damsel will be blessed

So if you are out there listening damsel hoot owl Ruth
I am not giving up, I'm saving my dance for you

I'm lost in your eyes, and captivated by your stare
I hunger for every word you speak, and the poems that you share

Still you fall so slowly, scared of the pain you've felt before
You've bent until you've broken, but here's what I've got in store

If you fall I will catch you, if you cry I'll be there
I'll love you if you let me, until then I'll simply care

You can tell me all your secrets, I can tell you mine
Or if that's too demanding, we can leave the past behind

Now our nights at its end, I deffinitely enjoyed this dance
Still I'm wanting something more... it's time to take that chance

So I lean in so slowly, my heart rest upon my lips
From the first day that I saw you, I've been thirsting for this kiss...

my friend Whitenite...your poem is perfect...
its gonna make us all *SIGH*
your words are so romantic...sweet in everyway...
I cant wait to see what the fair maiden in question has to say.
And back comes Jeffery, with a new serenade...
hes waiting to hear from dear Ruth...
to see what she thinks of the offer hes made.
HOOT he is so romantic...I think hes the real deal..
why dont ya invite him over for your famous oatmeal (LOL)
Netswan came back with perfect song...
her words are so poetic, we can all sing along...
so since sweet romance is still in the air...
who will be the next to take this romantic dare...

Oh my, a dance he offers me
This Knight in armor shining
He storms my castle with his words
So calm and so inviting
He asks me bare my armor
Bridge space across my moat
And from the words he's written here
He's read what I have wrote
He knows this maiden's frightened
To let down her defenses
And yet he comes so unafraid
Could it be he's lost his senses?
And I ask, kind Sir, what happens
When I stand there bared of all
Will you reach out to protect me
And catch me when I fall?
Or will you take me for a ride
Upon your pale white horse
Then leave me standing by the road
Scared a little worse?
I have asked not for a Knight
With armor shining bright
But rather for a caring man
Who'll hold me in the night
Who'll face me in the morning hours
Who'll kiss my fears away
Who'll teach me how to trust again
And never go away

To my damsel in distress,
I can tell that you've been hurt before so I won't lead you on
All I wanted was a dance not to take you home.
Not that I don't think you're pretty or have a loving heart
There's already someone in my life who plays the loving part
Sorry if you misunderstood or misconstrued my reply
But I thought this was all in fun , I don't know why

Oh Sir Jeffery 'tis all in fun
This little play in rhyme
There is no need to be distraught
For I too have one of mine
I have enjoyed these words of ours
Exchanged in poetry
And I'm flattered that you've asked to dance
With a little owl like me
Yes, it's true, I have been hurt
And bare my share of scars
But I've overcome, and now I am
Shooting for the stars
Worry not, this owl you see
Is not the fragile kind
And hearts once broken, so can heal
Just keep that thought in mind
I fly on wings that once were broke
I see with eyes once blind
I sing with voice that once was mute
And I've put the past behind
I've met someone who comforts me
Who supports all that I do
I'm glad that you have also have
Someone who's all of that to you

Jeffery...thanks for the exchange and the inspiration. Thanks also for the dance

My dearest Ruth I'll be your knight
dressed in armor tall,

I'll be there just to hold your hand
or catch you when you fall.

You need not ever worry dear
of broken wings and such,

I'll mend them with my kind sweet words
and soothing gentle touch.

Your words have helped inspire me
to write some wonderous works,

So come with me to fields of green
and forget the other jerks.

lol....whos next.

Chris...thanks for the smile on this rainy morning

Oh Sir Chris, my dance cards empty
You may have a dance me
We'll waltz around this crowded room
As happy as can be
We'll show the others how it's done
As gracefully we flow
Upon the floor with gentle steps
We'll move about real slow
I'll put my arms around you
You'll look me in the eye
We'll have the poets talking
The rumors will all fly
Oh brother, an acomplice
And when I do just fine
Getting myself in trouble
It happens all the time

Thanks for the dance

my heart, you set to flutter..
and when I look you in the eyes
all that I can do is stutter.

I'll turn us round this dance floor till
our feet can take no more
and when you finally kiss my cheek
we'll waltz right out the door....

I can see the rumors flying
But I don't seem to care
In your arms I'm dancing
Floating through the air
I can hear your soft voice calling
As you whisper in my ear
"Just a moment longer"
And then you pull me near
Time is quickly passing
Though it seems it has stood still
The nearness of your body here
Is taking all my will
Alas the dance is ended
We stop here on the floor
I turn and whisper quietly
"Chris, how 'bout one more?"
