The Rhythms of Love

Undertows of oceanís tide
Bring me nearer to your side
Throbbing heart and quivering breast
In want to soothe the soulís unrest

Melting into loveís first touch
Drawing close toward loverís clutch
Warm and tingling sense of skin
Build up rushing waves within

Drumming beats within my ear
Giving birth to blissful tear
Synchronized in rhythmís mesh
The pulsing throb of wrapping flesh

Wettened lips and fingertips
Are visions of the eyeís eclipse
And taste buds reap the pupilís sight
Of silken warmth of skinís delight

Tempos of a thunderous roar
Oozing out of every pour
Pounding heavy in the room
Rock the earth in loveís consume

Drum rolls fluttering through the mind
Tremors sound in murmurís time
Slowing to a weakened state
Of heartís contentment in elate

At dawn in early shadows' depth
The rhythm sweet of silent breath
Enveloped in loverís steep
Softly cradles me to sleep

Elizabeth,

At dawn in early shadows' depth
The rhythm sweet of silent breath
Envelops me in loverís steep
But I do not in cradle sleep.

For I in churn and torment yearn,
In depths of distance and concern.
Seek your touch in small reprieve
And dash upon the misconceive.

Love Sy
Your poems are to wonderful for words.

You poetry is always so beautifully written.
The title is so apropos, for indeed the rhythm of the piece is perfect.
