~ Intimate Mirror ~

Love is a chance
I choose NOT to take -
for I have grown weary
from all the heartache...

But who says that "lonesome"
is any less painful -
I'll just close my eyes now
and dream of my angel...

He holds me at night
and he doesn't ask "why"
I'm not able to love him -
together - we cry...

He whispers to me
as he lulls me to sleep -
in the arms of my angel
I love not - and weep.

He has no idea
he's the air that I breathe -
His thoughts are the wings
which I fly on - reprieve...

Our minds entertwine
like the vines of a rose -
Laced intricately -
he sees through me, and knows...

How I process and reason
Why I do what I do -
It's an intimate mirror,
of one, though we're two.

He whispers to me
as he lulls me to sleep -
in the arms of my angel
I love not - and weep...

pFF, your mirror reflects the beauty thats in the person and her writing.
With such ease you seem to write with such depth of feeling.
So nice indeed!

very pretty poem POET Gen...
very pretty and full of your usual tender emotions...we all should have and angel of love.
great work in this,
take care jm

Well the sun sets gently on your shoulders
And it makes me want to touch you there.
And the light in your eyes makes me feel
Like there's something much better out there
Something kind...
And I know someday I might be looking around
Trying to find some purpose
Well purpose it can't be that hard to find
As long as I've got the wind...
The wind and your love to carry me.

Ms. Fatale, your poetry takes on many faces, all have their strengths, but you are at your best (in my humble opinion), when you write as this.  Beautifully done.

Very nice...

I used to have an "angel" of my won but she was too boring, so I let her go.  Always did what I said and agreed with my every thought... never had an opinion of her own... never got jealous when I looked at other women... blah... don't you miss the arguments at all?  =)

"The storm rises up when the shadows descend
every beat of my heart every day without end
I will stand like a rock I will bend till I break
till theres no more to give if thats what it takes
I will risk everything I will fight I will bleed
I will lay down my life if thats what you need
every second I live thats the promise I make"

I have no idea who wrote this... tell me if you know. =)

pFF~ " Love is a chance

This broke my heart, I hope you find the strength to love again, the rewards out weigh the pain. You write so beautifully.   -SEA

Danny, JML, and Mike - -  (blushing)  You guys sure know how to make a lady blush!     I am humbled and bow to the 3 of you!

Rojogrande, Temptress, Pepper, Martie, and Liz - -  Thank you all very much for reading and for the support...glad you liked!

Marina - - Ah shucks...do I have to go back there?

Jeffrey - - I owe this one to you man...thank you a hundred times over!

Janet Marie - - Thanks for always being there for me...I have found you to be a true friend...

WhiteNite - - Arguments make me run faster than lightning!  I've had someone like you speak of - no opinions of his own etc...I HATED that!  LOL  Blah, as you say!  I asked him once, "Don't you have a mind of your own??"....Argh!

SEA - - Thank you dear...I will love again - when the time is right.  I believe in taking time out to dust yourself off, heal, and regroup.  I've found that usually when a relationship fails, something needs to be fixed...why stagger into another relationship before fixing the old problems??  I'm just doing a bit of "adjusting" and maintanence!

PFF, i've been gone for a while so can you fill me in...last time i was here you were deeply in love...and writing love poems...(except in the adult section).  Either way..this poem was as great as every other poem you written...the only difference is that this is exactly what i needed to read right now.

Thanks again Ruthie!  LOL (I like that name!)  hehe

Miriam - - Hey, I've missed you!  Have had lots of trouble with my mailboxes, but my current email is up and running!  femmegen@prodigy.net

Let's just say my ladder wasn't tall enough to catch that shooting star...(heading to the store to buy a bigger ladder!)  LOL  I'll be in touch with you, ok?  I'm glad this poem helped you in some way...maybe we do need to talk, I bet I can relate to what you're going through??  Glad to see you back nonetheless!  You've been missed!

** I'm reaching for the brightest star I've ever seen - knock my ladder out from under me, and you'll wish you hadn't !! -pFF ** Here's to 2000!

PFF - Breathtaking!  This is a beautiful and profound expression of your emotions.  My favorite lines are these:

"He whispers to me
as he lulls me to sleep -
in the arms of my angel
I love not - and weep..."

I hope that your angel will sustain you...and  that when and if you are ready you will find  a relationship that exceeds your fondest dreams.  It was a long time coming, for me, but I finally found that with my (second and forever) wife, Pamela.  Keep writing, I always love your stuff!
