Love's Embrace

               What is Love?
I thought I knew it well,
but when I tried to hold it close
     I discovered
a stranger in my arms.
It said it didn't know me -
     this stranger I called Love.
I gave myself so willingly
to Love's sweet embrace,
then found that to it
I was only a one night stand -
     As Love moved on...
               and left me behind.

serenity...thanks hon, I should have put a disclaimer on this one that it wasn't indicative of my feelings right now, just something that came to me.

Toe darling...you never fail to make me laugh. Thanks...but I'm sure if you put a Hoot owl and a toe together it would only be ecstasy for the hoot owl as the toe would look too much like a worm and hence too much like supper for it

Hoot,
I'm sure this is just a poem
Who could resist your fatal charm.

Toerag...I think I'll stop while I'm ahead here or is it behind   You do make me laugh...thanks for that

Seymore...fatal charm? oh my, not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing, almost feel like the black widow when you say that

Ruth,
Straight from the heart, dear!   You have such a way with words..... I think I am going to have to borrow one of Serenity's tissues!~
