I’m Too Sexy for my Poem I write my poems in modesty But as everyone can plainly see For those who really know’em I’m too sexy for my poem I write in metered phrase I really don’t know other ways But they tell me all the time I’m just too sexy for my rhyme Too sexy for each written word Too sexy to be ever heard To make it even so much worse I’m just too sexy for my verse It seems everyone has felt it And I simply cannot help it I try so hard not to show it I’m just a sexy little poet Now I say this with decorum I’m too sexy for this forum And to shed revealing light I’m just too sexy for this site I’m too sexy to be read And it’s like I always said It’s really going to my head I’M JUST TOO SEXY FOR THE WEB! I wrote this poem a while ago, but today I had the nerve to post it. My kids thought it sounded funny coming from me. I thank you for all your responses, which in themselves made me laugh. We do have our fun, don't we? What would life be without a hearty laugh once in a while. Believe me, I need to laugh right now. And besides, I really am quite sexy! (she says modestly) Liz |
