I was reading this old poem today and I remember how many times this girl left me and came back and I am able to say today that I truly honestly do not want her to come back anymore...the spell has been broken!!!!

Why Gina?

Listen to your Heart before you tear me apart.
Look into my eyes and tell me why you want to make me cry.
Is there a reason why?
I would always be your Lover and I would never need another.
No other girl lights up my eyes the way you can when you try.
I'm so happy you're alive and I always want you near.
I'm sad and lonely when you're not here at night because I'm not holding you tight.
Can James have another chance to continue this romance?
I'll try a little harder to be a lot stronger.
You know how much I care.
Come back to me again.
I want to be your friend.

sweetbabyjames, you have such a tender heart and this poem shows it's fragile nature...but what is the most touching is your signature
"AndsoIclosethischapterinmybook
nevermoretotakealook.Ihope."

it will all come in time james...sounds to me like your there...or very well on your way
stay strong ...and know you deserve better
and she is out there...
go look under one of those lovley palm trees...
take care

The stars shine so bright, now's the time
I close my eyes - soft wind touch my face,
Cool sand upon the place where I once kissed you
And held you close.
Now I will reach for the stars...
Because Oh my love, that's where you are...
Though the storms of black night rage on
I still see your face
I still feel your lips on mine
And though my heart feels all alone without you
I still hear you sing to me
I still hear your voice on the sea...
vertical horizon

Good for you James! It took me years to get over my first heartbreak (and only), I think the first ones are the hardest to get over. But none are easy, I'm sure.

Thanks Janet I have tried that...everywhere I go I talk to women..the supermarket, clubs, restaurants, art studios, the beach, drug store, department stores, under palm trees, ha...ha..
Thanks Denise and I'm working on getting over my fourth major heartbreak...I don't count the little ones.  I watched an interesting movie callled High Fidelity in which the main character rated the women he broke up with from one to five...the ones that were the most significant or had affected or hurt him the most.  It was very interesting and I could do that myself but I only have four...btw I hope I never have a fifth heartbreak..this is not my desire.  James

Very touching. While you're enjoying the growth you've achieved, make sure you also remember the things you loved about her so you don't give in to bitterness. Sometimes it's easier to try to forget the good, but it's what keeps us human - even when it hurts.

Thank you Amy for your beautiful words.
Thank you Gonzalo and I have taken time to think of the good times but right now if I don't stay focused on the anger I will fall back into her web...a place where I do not want to be...and she has spread a wide web.  Believe me I know that there is a time for hurt, pain, anger, trust, admiration and love.
My journey will not stop at anger it will only visit this place.  James
