Feminine Side

Now that the precipitation
has moved away
the sky seems vacant
to the horizon of my mind
and beyond
with a new light
focused to this
personal metamorphosis
from the lackluster
of a "just being" existence
to the beautiful insignia
of my own rainbow..
a promise to myself
made long ago
in that daydream of her-
the heroine child…Nancy
my escape from life
so that I could live………..

in me.

It can be such a struggle to live within ourselves. Quite intriguing, Robert...as is always true of your work.

RobertB~
You are focused brilliantly on the horizon.

'the beautiful insignia
of my own rainbow..'

I always enjoy your writing.  Always.

You have expressed this so eloquently for me,
Mr. RobertB!  An 'ooh' and an 'ouch' from me,
serenity!   Much thanks.

I think we all have "other" sides. We must take time to explore them. (not that I am a cross dresser mind you!!!!!!!)

I asked one of my friends if he had a feminine side and he acted like I was enquiring if he had Bubonic plague!

Sorry for the "ouch" serenity!

We all have those "other sides" Robert. . . heck, I must have at least 10 or so!!  LOL

But this is indeed an excellent poem. . .if we all explored the "other side" of ourselves, would we all be just a little saner?
