Past The Gates Of Time
~*Marge Tindal*~

Early in the morning
just past the gates of time
Smiles the memory of yesterday
into this heart of mine

Reflecting moments of splendor
among the grasses green
Lilac's blooming fragrance
gracing the air of seem

Pausing just one moment
to catch the trill of wren
Hurrying through the gate
back to where I've been

One frolic in the springtime
of memories etched in stone
Engraving now this moment
that won't leave me alone

Likened to the mighty oak
on which are carved our names
I stand resilient to the wind
until you blow home again

Returning from the sea
on each new cresting wave
Fathoming your love
only a heartbeat away

Embraced within your hug
firmly now on shore
Past the gates of time
you're home with me once more

Very touching. I like the way this poem expresses the ever-changing emotions and their relation to the constant, profound ones.

This is great!!  I smelled every scent and felt every feeling as you always allow me to do in your poetry.  The memories that keep us not so alone until we aren't once more....ahhhhhhmazing

Danny~
You may have answered your own question ...
In my sleep, indeed.  I have a feeling
that my muse's nickname is Vivarin !
She's a slave driver for sure.

Truth ... my mind writes all day and
about half the night.
Thank you so much for the compliment.

Claire~
Thank you, my friend.
I am so pleased that you enjoyed this
one and saw the 'hope' in it.

what can I say, this just entered my heart and spirited it away to a time and place I think I've been before, maybe in a past life.
Just Incredible
