                 I sit and wait

The chrysalis of folly lies in human vanity.
Invisibly woven into egos insanity.
Harboring the drives and expelling the fumes,
Actions of the ID that intertwine and entombs.

The metamorphic transition of natures force,
Dictates to the intellect since it is the source.
Questioning the process, commits the original sin.
The essence of the concoct and commitment within.

Maturity is the blossom, the plum and the sum.
Provided in the structure of how it all is done.
It is a paradox beyond the scope of man.
It is of course set by God whatever be the plan.

So here I sit an older man in uneasy peace,
Still waiting and wondering until I am deceased.

I hope you have to sit and wait for a thousand years! I am not yet done reading all the poetic wisdom you can write!

Seymour,

I guess I am in a reflective mood tonight because I really liked this poem. I have resigned myself to knowing the questions but not the answers.  Still, the struggle for understanding is worth the effort.  I too, "...sit an older man in uneasy peace,
Still waiting and wondering until I am deceased."

Sy,
God has a plan and we don't know why
As to when we shall live and when we shall die
Why do you simply sit there and wait
If it isn't your turn at the Pearly Gate
Come on out with me and let's have some fun
And just laugh at life until life is done
In the meantime let me put down my pen
And read this great poem all over again
Your words are unbelievable
And wonderful
Liz

This is a very special piece, Sy. It echos truth within each line. It is haunting... real... almost jarring in its effect. Thanks for posting this.

Sy--
waiting moments is not of wisdom made
for while you wait life walks by
and leaves you in the glade...
so many smiles, poems
and laughter yet to come,
so play and sing and dance
until your time is done.

wonderful poem Sy.

Wow Sey, this piece really makes me think...I am 27 years old, and I still see the years clicking by so fast it scares me!  I can relate to that sickening feeling of not being able to stop the clock.  I think it has something to do with not being satisfied with our accomplishments here, like we should have/ could have done more.  Indeed, I am already feeling that way too.  May you ponder while you sit, and find peace while you wait.     I'm with PdV though, I hope you have to sit and wait at least a thousand years!  hehe

Sy...I would imagine you're nearly genius.....Having never met you, I'm sure you're something for sure......Now then, I know Balladeer is something for sure too, but I'm not even implying the same thing! I would think you know what I mean....LOL....nice job here man...as usual, you can take words and make them into a work of art.....I can too, but mostly it's pretty much crap....but even crap is considered a work of art by some these days yanno?......
