Your eyes
Sparkling in bright start radiance
Heaven sent my sight
Drawing exorbitantly onward
Blue wavelength absorbing my soul
My want
My need
They fill my horizons
And I am lost
Drowning in azure depths
Revived by a single
Kiss

Alicat~
The title caught me ..
and then you matched the azure color
with your phrases.
I like it very much.
Beautiful thoughts.

Aaah...The blue eyes of serenity are twinkling now...thank you Mr. Alicat!
I choose to take this one personally anyway,
so humor me!  Nice...

I don't get it. I'm looking, searching, seeking out the barb, the punchline...I mean, this IS Alicat, my idol...it must be there, hidden somewhere and I can't find it! From all outward appearances this appears to be a nicely crafted, straight poem. Oh, you are so clever, 'cat!!!!!!!!

MT, thank you

Serenity, glad you liked it, and i'll humor ya

Nan...yeah, I'm very easy to please...a kiss can do more than an entire sheet of 'X'

Balladeer, hate to disappoint you, but strangely, there is no hidden barb to this one....wrote it on the fly after a friend on mine stopped by for a visit.  Inspiration comes in all forms.

Thanks again guys, for taking the time to make me smile...and yes, not only am I easy to please, but very easy to amuse.

Oh now, see??!  LOL  My dear friend, and what a wonderful visit we had today too...minus the fact that I was doing homework on your floor.  hehehe

It's so good to see you posting again, I look forward to more Alastair!!

Lovely, lovely, lovely! This was very romantic. One of your best sir. But I do have a question....would you like me to send you some paper? If you don't have anything to write on, I think we could come up with something! After all your statement that you 'wrote this on the fly' really tore at me..but then again, it's wonderful that you could train the flies there where you live to sit still long enough to have a peom jotted down on their backs...so clever of you!
