In the space between moments

0 posted 2000-04-02 11:48 PM

Chenille winds softly billow
Within the mellow sunrise
As sapphire tinged memories
Float upon the liquid skies.

Saddened eyes cast downward
Away from blooming light
Her heartache softly flutters
Silently swept from sight.

Rosy cheeks and lovely laughter
Ring within her thoughts
A child's trusting touch
Once had, but nevermore caught.

Her darling's tender face
Still haunts her fallen tears
Sapphire eyes so innocent
Now robbed of mortal years.

The faint hope of tomorrow
Harshly crumbled away
When her child's lifeless body
Was found upon that day.

Saddened eyes cast downward
For there is no relief
To a mother's broken soul
And a flood of cruel grief.

Oh......wow!!!! This is so well written and so touching...deep down to the soul.  You have captured the pain of eyes well my friend, for eyes are a window of the soul.  Thank you for sharing this.

Touching poem Krista.  You've got damp eyes over here.

K, i came over to thank you for your heartfelt reply to my poem today,I was moved by your words...
this poem takes my words...you have touched me deeply twice in the same day. I thank you.
take care, jm

...when you walked into the room, I saw their faces,
you made it feel like time was standing still...and I felt fascination...
then you turned and smiled in my direction...
and my heart...gave me away.
