If I had but one final word to say,
One word to speak with my last dying breath
To all those there beside me as I lay
Awaiting still, cold open arms of Death..
Your name would be the one word I would choose
To put my life in introspective view.
You are my inspiration and my muse.
I am a better man for loving you.
Then, as I bid the current world adieu
As my God comes to stake his final claim
My final thoughts will be of loving you
My final breath will whisper out your name.

These words you may rely upon as true.
My thoughts will ever be of loving you.

Okay, 'Deer one... no jokes, no wisecracks. *S* You've finally found a way to stop my sense of humor in its tracks... by writing a poem so lovely and loving I can only applaud.
