Yesterday's soul was
the colour of the sun,
remembering soaring
rays of warmth
strumming at my
heart-strings,
red hot violins
stoking my lust,
kindling an orgasmic
concerto of flames.

In my guilt
the colour is stolen
from my soul,
leaving me feeling
like narrow drains blocked
with dirty rainwater
as a foul and putrid
stench of betrayal
seeps and fades into
cracks in the sidewalk.

Fear bleaches
my soul
white like linen
draw-sheets thrown
over youth hostel beds,
sterile dormitories
with tissue paper
walls,trembling to the
sound of approaching
footsteps.

In the dead of the night
my soul is a multi-coloured
spinning wheel
turning and turning
a dreamscape of mayhem,
relentlessly weaving
it's cotton threads
into a water colour
of creaking floorboards,
the pitter-patter of
raindrops tapping
an enigmatic rhythm,
as the seconds become minutes
and the minutes become hours.

TravisK~
I like the image of the Chameleon
in your nights.

'my soul is a multi-coloured
spinning wheel
turning and turning'

Nice one you've spun here.
Welcome to Passion's.
