               Sing

Sing a song of gladness;
For, the morning, now, has dawned.
The sun now bathes the world in light;
The dark of night is gone.
Earth's creatures all sing happily;
Their voices loud and strong.
Let man, with nature, raise his voice,
In joy's unbroken song!

Sing, now, of serenity;
Of worries left behind.
For, peace now soothes the aching heart,
And calms the troubled mind.
The fearsome spectre of despair
Has vanished, in this hour.
Come, revel in the morning light,
And feel its healing power!

Sing of dreams, unfettered;
The soul set free to soar -
To leave behind the bonds of earth,
And touch the stars, once more.
No longer shall the gentle heart
Be bound by pain or fear.
For, with the sun, fresh hope has dawned;
A bright new day is here!

Sounds like a nice song you speak of here. Sometime I will have to learn the melody.

Troy~

I danced within your morning song
Grabbed a note and just held on
Sang it in the light of day
Vanished all my cares away

Thank you for your song of note
I'm very glad that you wrote
A melody that stays with me
Filling my singing heart with glee

Cerenity...my pleasure!  And, thanks for the welcome!  "It's wonderful to be here; it's certainly a thrill.  You're such a lovely audience..."  OOPS!  Sorry - the Beatles crept in there, and tried to upstage me, LOL!

Elizabeth...it took me awhile to learn the melody, myself - I had to learn to listen to my heart and spirit. Thanks for your kind words!

Denise...feel free to join in, anytime!  The world is one huge dance floor, and everyone's  heart sings with perfect pitch!

Hoot...thanks a bunch!  Rhyme has always been  my best medium, although I have also written  some free-verse.  Glad you enjoyed it!

Marge...I am in awe!  Thank you for your beautiful poem - it made my spirit soar!
(Applause for Marge's gift)

CherylLynnMckee...wow, thanks for the praise!  Yeah, I'm a big nature-lover, too - lots of nature poems in my archives.

You guys are the best - can't think of a better family to belong to!
