When we make love, the gates will open wide
To treasures I had never come to know
And I will live with happiness inside
Delighting in the richness of your glow.
When we make love, all pain will disappear
Erased by all the joy you make me feel.
Our day of blissful joy is drawing near
To taste the nectar our love will reveal.
When we make love, our hearts and souls will blend
As essences  now mingled into one.
Toward Heaven's path my spirit will ascend
To harvest golden apples of the sun.

Should fate decree we'll not taste passion's thrill
Rest easy knowing I will love you still.

This is beautifully romantic, deer, and so full of love.  I love all you write, but this romatic stuff gets to me.

and he is GLOWING with the passion fever.
this is so lovely...very tender and romantic.

take care, jm

she said I dont know if I've ever been good enough,
and I'm a little bit rusty, and I feel like my head is caving in.
...and I dont know if I've ever been really loved by a hand thats touched me...
and I feel like somethings gonna give...
and I'm a little bit angry.

Here I am, all choked up from reading such a beautiful poem... and wondering how I could respond when I simply wanted to keep reading.

And then... and then... and then along came Marge!!! LOL (I will expect her at my office by the close of business today to clean up the diet coke that shot out my nostrils! LOL)

Poetic friends, I thank you all for the encouragement. This may be the first sonnet I've ever written. It's that darned David2's fault for showing how beautifully the form can be used. Thank you again.
