The Orchard of Life .

Life is like an orchard,
All the sweetness is there for taking,
But like an orchard also,
The best is,
Lost,
Forsaken .
Out of reach,
The best fruit bloom,
Only the tall can reap them,
No matter how you try and try,
Your jump will never seek them .
To you my friend,
There are four choices,
You can give up now with nout to bear,
You settle for just what you reach,
You climb the tree,
The effort’s great,
But yield,
Most rewarding .
Or best of all you get some stilts,
And stand up,
Proud and teaching,
Preach down the branch,
On which it sits,
And pluck the juicy prise all seeping .

Very good, Tom!
I think we can all take a lesson from you on this one!

Are you getting a ladder yourself, young man?  The juicy prize WILL be yours!  Cool poem.

***Tom,
If anyone is tall enough, surely it is you...?

Thanks everyone, I try to stand up tall but as you will probably already know, it is a very difficult task .
