Maybe once
we could fold into each other
and find another place
beyond what we are,
where there would be no measure
only melting.

I am one thought in time.
The sea does not feel
my toes dangling,
the sun moves always
into another daybreak,
the turning world
holds me to her
for reasons of her own.

That precious footprint
cannot sustain itself,
consumed by minutes
it is gone.

Maybe once
we could find another way
of knowing,
glimpse beyond
one separate thought
to that other place
where there would be not measure
only melting.

....we could fold into each other

that line is just so sweet, this one is brilliant.

I love this!  Exquisite feelings. I love the line about "folding into each other", and also especially enoy the lines - "That precious footprint cannot sustain itself, consumed by minutes it is gone".  Oh, man, what those words speak to me!
My net's been out for most of three weeks now.  Now I'm hunting up what I've been missing, before it goes out again.  I might have thirty seconds!!!

I like the image of the footprint disappearing..and how that relates to the love mentioned in the poem

"Love is the only drug you can take that will convince you each time
that you've never had it before."
