I bare my soul for all to see
Written in my poetry

You can see my whole self, naked as can be
I'm baring my soul here, for all to see

There's nothing to be stripped away, I'm all out in the open
You can see me naked, with each word that I have spoken

You can see my heartbeat beating and my soul flying free
You can see me naked, you see the whole of me

With each stroke of my pen, I strip a little more of me away
And here I stand naked and that's the way I'll stay

Our eyes are graced with what your soul bares for us to see, the more you strip away the more your talent shows. Excellent job on this one I really like it.

I loved this...the description of writing was so true, baring a lot of feelings for the reader. I know many people feel the same, making poetry personal. Thanks for letting us all read it.

~Jamie
thanks for reading. Whatever we write about it is our heartfelt feelings and it's who we are on the inside.

And why would we bare our souls for others to see...because we feel accepted...and as others share from within their hearts we feel the same desires.   James

I can most certainly relate...I was told once by a friend that they felt like a voyeur when reading my work because I left myself so open in it. That's a scary thought when you really think about it.

Possibly, one of the best things about poetry is the discovery we make about ourselves when we write.
"and my soul flying free" is a great line.
What other times in our lives do we let our soul fly free?
Tracie, this is so good.  You have spoken for us all, and with excellent expression.

Tracie~

Exactly !
Exactly !
So many facets of ourselves
do we reveal through our writing.
I love it.

Tracie,
Wonderful.  There is no better way to be than completely free and honest, and your words resound in truth.  The best person is one who hides nothing and gives all.
