             There are Bells

There are bells that strike the hour.
There are bells of pomp and power.
There are bells that can dole a toll.
There are bells that can move a soul.

There are bells that ring in the spring.
There are bells that ring for a king.
There are bells that give you a start.
There are bells that can break your heart.

There are bells that give you dower.
There are bells that make you cower.
There are bells that ring you to sleep.
There are bells that make you to weep.

There are bells of sorrow and dread.
There are bells that ring for the dead.
There are bells of need, bells of deed.
There are bells of plead, bells of greed.

There are bells lament bad and well
And those that ring heaven and  hell.

There is yet another bell
Not with clanger but with yell
In which a kindly heart does dwell
Give my regards to Isabel.

The last two lines of this certainly make the rest of the poem ring loud and clear
