Truth

A pleasant talk and not a hint of strain,
A dinner in a dimly lighted booth,
A quiet drive, a soft and peaceful rain,
Are simple joys enriched with simple truth.
The simple truth that love will not demand,
Or ever ask for more than it may give,
That love must only seek to understand,
And understanding, find its will to live.
Pretensions cast aside and egos tamed,
Our brilliant love in vibrant, fragrant bloom,
This hope of love is now a love enflamed,
And never wonders, worries, or presumes.

We'll cherish love that only we may share,
Our minds and bodies laced, intent, and bare.

Beautiful words...two falling in love together and it is just happening because it was meant to be.   James

(In responce to truth)

The dark and the silver they both become one,
Lighting the dark,
And darkening the sun.
Filling the void neither could place.
To look at them now,
That smile on their face.
Their souls entertwined,
Perfect love ever known,
While stars shine down,
And make themselves known.
But none to these two,
Upon the world do they see.
Only the love that grows on,
For all eternity.

(Enjoy and wonderfully written poem of love)

another perfect poem from you today david...
i love your style...i think your gonna be seeing alot of me(smile)
take care, jm

Do you live by the book, do you play by the rules
Do you care what is thought by others about you
If this day is all that is promised to you
Do you live for the present, the future the past...

Love is, indeed, a baring of souls caught up in life's most simple truths. What a grand and lovely piece of poetry this is.
