a damsel aches
a knight appears
to calm her heart
assuage her fears

he has no sword
to wound the foe
he has no steed
on which to go

his only weapons
in this fight:
honor in darkness
truth as light

the only king
he pledges to
is life itself
and love that's true

at times when madness
takes its toll
he hears her sobbing
in his soul

and then he reaches
out his arms
and tucks her in
safe from all harms

the demons fade
the sorcerers scatter
the trolls in the kingdom
no longer matter

the damsel's tears
replaced by song
by love's compassion
she is made strong

the wrongs in camelot
all made right
by the spirit and soul of
one brave knight

Destiny~
This is simply beautiful.

'and then he reaches
out his arms
and tucks her in
safe from all harms'

Tenderly rendered.
Welcome to our Passion's family.

Destiny. . .

This is a truly beautiful and romantic poem. . . it really speaks to my heart. . .

"the damsel's tears
replaced by song
by love's compassion
she is made strong

the wrongs in camelot
all made right
by the spirit and soul of
one brave knight"

It looks as though you have found your brave knight, truly he is a very lucky man. . . *sigh*

Welcome to Passions, Destiny, I too, hope that you stay with us for a long while. . .

I remember feeling this way once.

Very well written for a woman who's found her knight in shining armor.  Very lucky man indeed.

Welcome to Passions.

Indeed a wonderful first post Destiny.
I too believe there is no finer story than that of a fair maiden being rescued and loved by her brave knight.  You are a lucky lady, hold him and never let him go.
