Her Words Are Treasure

by Michael Auguste

Such tenderness is hard to find
Such truthfulness, such open mind
Such beauty in the words I hear
Such heartfelt words I hold so
dear

Her words to me are like a kiss
I keep them close within my heart
They light my day and give me
bliss
To me they're much like works of
art

I love this friend, is that so
wrong
She makes my heart break out in
song
Her eyes, the color of the sea
Her secrets trusted just to me

She knows they're safe wherein
they're kept
The smiles she's known, the tears
she's wept
Fat drops of rain that lashed her
face
The Snowdrops in a garden place

Her words are treasure shared
with me
No eyes allowed to view the chest
The gold she gives lets my heart
rest
But she alone does hold the key

I will not share this gold she
gives
The smiles that lengthen everyday
The words that fill my heart with
play
The beauty that within her lives

I will not even share her name
Or share her wondrous beauty be
Our words are often much the same
Because she's such a part of me

WELCOME TO PASSIONS...Oh how I would love to be treasured this way!

Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove.
O,no! it is an ever-fixed mark....William Shakespeare
