Light of my life, you have emerged from my heart's own darkness
Leaving the darkness of your own heart to bring me back
Giving me the strength to break these chains of hate
Showing me the courage that for so long I felt I lacked
Your voice singing the song of love to which my heart hearkens

Spirit of my heart, you have awakened my senses with your gentle touch
Making my skin tingle with the kiss of your gentle caress
Awakening in me feelings unknown for so long
Helping me find the love I've waited for a lifetime to possess
I'll never be able to repay you, for you have given me so very much

Lover of my soul, you have stirred in me the coals of passion's fire
Fanning the flames higher with a mere wave of your hand
Stirring my mind with the depth of your yearning
Hours spent with you seeming like minutes, grains of sand
I've always known it could be like this, my heart's own desire.

this is beautiful Sven and full of the romantic heart we have come to expect in your poetry...

thank you so very much for the sweet reply to my poem tonight...you made me smile BIG TIME...
take care, jm

 and you can say baby...
baby can I hold you tonight
maybe if told you the right words...
at the right time,
you'd be mine...

A beautiful poem
I love the first line where you say emerged from my hearts own darkness (hope I got that right! I forgot to type it down!!)
This sings from a heart filled with love Sven.
Thanks for sharing it with us

Sven,

you describe the feelings of real love so beautifully, and it is so wonderful to see people who has found it!

Sven, this is very nice.  I like the unique rhyme pattern.
You always do a great job with romantic poetry.  Must be why you have a groupie of poetry lovers hanging on your every word.
Nice work.
