I love you with a heart that cries
knowing my mail brings sadness
want to hold you and tell you I care
as our tears speak more not less

You love me as I've wished for
you're friends I hold so dear
know my arms are holding you
your love so abundantly clear

I may be leaving 'home'
but you will remain with me
the trust, the faith, the magic
contains such honesty

How can such love ever leave
for in you I'll always be
look up and reach sky high
and a rainbow you will see...

HUSG

If a hug represented how much I loved you
I would hold you in my arms forever.

I really doubt there's a single poetic soul here at Passions who would think that you should go anywhere, Rainbow Girl... You've never been anything but supportive of everyone here - In your absence, everyone would surely miss you more than you could imagine... Take a deep breath or two, my friend... There's strength in the Passionate air about you..

I've dissected my brain trying to find
The magic words to change your mind.
I've cajoled, threatened, ranted, raved,
Cried rivers of tears and misbehaved.
Most of the people who come here
Love you so much and think you're dear.
Troubles darken every heart...
We stand with you, so do not part
Just take a break, cry some, breathe.
Home's in your heart - you cannot leave!

Your poem is beautiful, dear friend. I wish Mother Hen could have sheltered you from the storms that have battered and bruised you... but this poultry is persistent... you ain't gettin' rid of me! *S* HUGS (yes, I posted hugs... I do that once every year or so. *S*)

You know my feelings ... take the time you need and then come home to your friends ... we all love you .....

Cindy, When I said I was waiting for answers, I meant as to whether or not you were leaving, and now it's clear that you are leaving us and so now my remarks. This is a loss for Passions but I hope it will never be a loss of friendship. My heart feels a little heavy these days, to know we won't be seeing your poetry on the forum. And I truly have felt blessed to have been a little part of your life, and hope some day we see you again. You have been an inspiration to both me and my husband and those things are never forgotten. You will certainly never be forgotten, and I hope you will keep us always close to your heart. You are a special lady, one I hate to see leave the forum. May we meet again, my friend. Please come back to us when your heart is at peace.
HUSG and kisses

A voice has been silenced,
Our sobs you now hear,
A laughter of passion,
Is no longer near.

We beg and we plead,
We bribe and conjole,
Yet now she has left us,
The poor darkened soul.

So take with you our love,
Take our friendship along too,
And know this dear friend,
We are thinking of you.

(For RG, don't forget us now.)

Windrider,
What a lovely tribute to beautiful friend.
I hope she keeps writing and gets so much poetry accumulated, that she'll feel almost guilty not to share it with us. That'll get her back.
Anyway, you write a marvelous verse, Windrider

My big......est laugh..!

I don't know where to start my chuckling or who's words I should borrow.

There once was critical poster
who rewrote everyone’s work
one day a girl jester thought
I’ll put in someone elses work
when the critical bboob read it
he just had to reply
I wonder can he see how
he’s a laughing stock
when they now read his
replies.

I just had to say something............Hum........mmmmmm

You can't go anywhere yet... You bring out the best in us all. It appears that many of us everywhere need to open our eyes, and besides if you drop out you'll never get that diploma document issueded by the University of Passion's 'stute, testifying that you earned such and such degree and have successfully completed the course. But it is still my opinion conferring and it's still a privilege and honor to read your work.

And too, the kids have been driving us out of house and home for years so we bought an RV just for the occasion and it's our turn to be running away. But if you do want to... I'm sorry, but you'll have to get in line, so don't even think about it. It's a long line too.

Pepper,
Do you mean "Oooops", like "Oooops, I accidently sent this to the top again?

While we're here at the top, how about another toast to friendships. of those friends who aren't with us in voice, but are with us in spirit. Those friends whom we never forget, for they are the very friends who were there for us when we needed them, always with beautiful words of encouragement.
Those friends who never let you down, and never allow someone else to separate you, those friends with hearts of gold, faces of courage, and exquisite spirits. Here's to you, friends.
Gosh, it almost sounded like I was describing Cindy. That's a coincidence!
OK Cindy, here's to you, too.
Cheers!

So many people
need to hear from you most likely
wanting a creamy subtle old fashioned
scrolled letter in some exotic plume with
an ink bottle calligraphy effect and
winsome quotations a few
words accompanied
too by a lovely sentiment
of what’s been what and who’s
been heard many incredible but laid back
writers never thinking to write or uttering a word
what an embossing filigree of people segregating them
selves to disagree in all appearance it’s so absurd and in
most cases I fail to see what they could possibly want
of you the list goes on & you’ll agree remember
your friends a few favorites and those weird
introductions to maybe others or some
special ones yet why would you
write never writing to none.

Come on back here
you don't want
to be a
sniff

You can leave home
But not if the home goes with you

I left my home at poetry’s Passions
In my graceful, gracious fashion
And everybody said good-bye
It seems now such a lie

I walked away with tearful eyes
My feelings I did not disguise
I forged ahead and didn’t look back
They won’t get off my back

I explained so kindly  I was leaving
No attempt to be deceiving
I  was honest all along
But they keep hanging on

How will I ever make them see
That they can’t go along with me
My worries they can’t truly know
But they just won’t let go

But suddenly my heart’s awaking
Now I see what they are making
A wide umbrella, soft and warm
To shield me from the storm

They are not treading on my road
Or adding burden to my load
But merely floating there above
A canopy of love

With every raging storm at sea
My friends will always be with me
A canopy of Passions own
A home away from home

The light has dimmed tonight
a poet laid down her pen
she wrote from a loving heart
but vows never to do so again
What light she had shone here
unseen by many of you
a poet's pen lain to rest
rending her heart in two.

Alright already,

Darn twitchy mouse had something in his mouth again. O well, guess it my finger.

I'm Touching Sorrow

their really gone but ... it doesn’t feel real... it’s been only a few hours or so and it still doesn’t quite feel sincere... I think I’ll just walk into passions stute and "they’ll all be there" there’s so much left for them to feel... they’ll sure be hoot... and Lucky too... how 'bout Liz and the others too. They won’t be there... their really gone away and it hurts more than I can bear... I miss them so much the world is such a colder place without them here... but it’s gotten a little better maybe... I suppose I cry now and then I even smile though reserved... still a raindows ring hangs over me like a subtle feeling reminding me how life can be as good as then... I know I will soon feel whole again... I will truly be happy too but I know also that sadness has touched this life... yet my loves have allowed me leave of it... Oh, I’ll give it another hour or so.

I don't want to be a sniff. Sob Sob

Hey, my precious Rainbow
For you I write this poem
I cannot think on anything else
To get your toush back home
You see how we all miss you
The colors,they have gone
I sit here in a funky blue
The days seem very long
We'll keep your poem on page one
To remind you how we care
You are needed here, hon
Your Rainbow's song to share

Okay .. I know ... but you gotta give me an E for effort .... LOL

Ooops!  What brought me here?  Oh, well, seeing as I'm here anyway, here's something I wrote a long, long, long time ago, and I think you should hear it.

The quality of mercy is not stain'd
It droppeth as the gentle rain from Heaven
     Upon the place beneath.
     It is twice bless'd;
It blesses she that gives, and she that takes.

I think I wrote that, [!] if I remember correctly. 'Course it could have been my great, great grandfather!

RG...I just got here, and you're just leaving.  Reading your poem, and the many caring responses, I can't help feeling a sense of loss, even though I don't know you.  But, if you are leaving, I would like to remind you of some words from an old song.  From all that I have read here, they seem to apply..."the greatest thing you'll ever learn, is just to love and be loved in return."  I hope that you will carry all of these wonderful friends in your heart!

Local Rebel,

Somehow I had this little hunch
That he'd beat everyone to the punch
He sat and waited out his turn
And let the glowing embers burn
He hid among the hunter's blind
Then pounced on number sixty-nine
And all the others looked in awe
This rebel's quicker to the draw
Smooth move, local rebel
Liz

Cindy, did you see that?

To Be Home

Is the best cure for the stubborn
bleu sadness that’s fallen so hard upon
passions’ doors the rooms in the stute don’t
seem quite so snug as when the fires
were high lighted by a Rainbow
yet still there will be the old
friends who’ll welcome
you after an absence
an take up the threads
of acquaintance where it
was dropped off just before
Spring I can still find some of
your flowers stuck in between the
pages on the desk asters and geraniums
the last dried roses tied in ribbons of Rain-
bows colours covered in Cindy’s red & white
berries nestling among plumed leaves to prolong
the beauty of the things that link past to our present
but the glow of the fire and the early evening and the
crisp air and bright stars out of doors remind me that
winter is gone and makes me glad that I’m here
home at passions and thankful not only for
its peace but your warm writing also.

[I think I've caught a Spring sniff]

May I join you?
Wait a minute, someone's missing
Hey, who's missing here?
Well, seems like we're all here
But something is really missing
It's just not the same
Oh well, are we having fun yet?

I wish it was as easy as nickelodeon

Bitten in my buttocks by a scorpion

It can take a long time
to be at peace with your soul
it takes even longer
to work at becoming whole

I've just become fragmented
lost a chain or two somewhere
but running my usual program
isn't enough to get me there

I'm learning to scatter the peices
let the wind carry them away
to know I must decide to trust
myself again -  one day

HUSG

Thank you for showing your care
to be honest reading this made me cry
I'm sat here shaking my head
a glimmer of hope shining in my eyes

I know what I've written doesn't even begin to say what I feel or to express my thanks at all the beautiful poems or the time you each took in replying...I'm still shaking my head...I just don't know the words that say what I'm thinking or feeling...(I know, a female lost for words is unheard of..*g*..)  Truly, a big thank you from me to you!

Big HUGS/ HUSG

There's been a time or two
That I have read your post.
A time or two that you've done so
When I have played the host.
I've seen your kindness towards others
Along the passion's way.
So I'm here right now to ask
Please let this rainbow stay?

Your colorful hugs would be surely missed.

Rainbow,
All of us at some time must pause, step back, and take a look at ourselves, at our circumstances, or just at our life. It's like a cleansing of the mind and spirit.
Looks like you have affected a lot of people here at Passions.
Good luck, see you soon

We can't let you go anywhere!   You are our friend, and friends always stick together.  Lean on us, take some time if you must, but don't leave!

Here is something I posted a few days ago, and I want to share it with you again, RG:

The Sound of Angel's Wings

Have you ever heard
That softest rustling in the wind?
And wondered to yourself
Just what could it have been?

It is a sound that flows over you
Like the coolest wash of rain
And for some uncertain reason
Soothes your soul of all its pain.

My friend, you heard the greatest
Sound that nature ever brings
For the soft and gentle sound you heard
Is the stir of Angel's Wings.

So in your hardest moments
Taken a moment and breathe deep
Still your worried soul just slightly
Relax and let your heart go free.

And you will hear that softest rustling
Like a whisper in your ear
For the Angels are trying to tell you
"We are watching, have no fear."

Terry Woodson

Remember that you are much loved girl!

Roar foR
A rainbow panaceA
In full flow with a smile for I
Needs not to feel her goodness giveN
Blind faith in hope delivered freely with aplomB
On angels wings hugs well sent without malice or adO
Which begs the question why the girl smiles so seldom to so feW

I felt I had to...sending this one right on back up to the top! I don't want you to go, however I understand...if that is what you feel you must do, then follow your heart. I had only began starting to get to know your work. From what I have seen, you have an amazing talent for writing. I have NEVER seen a poem get this many responses. I think everyone would agree with me on this..you are VERY much loved. And you will not be forgotten here at Passions. In fact, we all await your return. Take care, and God Bless You!

Guys!...Do NOT be impressed with my poem, it's this motley crew of loveable urchins that keep sending this back up, cause you're all such loveable, mischevious, adorable, magical, little gremlins...who make me smile a lot..because you're precious, you're kind and you took a Rainbow into your hearts when she needed to be loved and boy did you do that in style!

It's not the poem, this isn't worth a dime...It's the people who live in this home!

Bless and HUSG

ps:  Over the weekend I'm going to try and write something that includes each and every one of you but heaven knows what it will turn out like...patchwork quilt probably..

Patchwork quilt

There is a heart
beating here
soft and tender
moist from tears

Took off in flight
roamed the world
found her dream
wings got singed

Her flight crew
knew the sign
flew her to a valley
where love flowed in rhyme

This time she found
a peaceful place
settled on a mantle
made of finest lace

As darkness left
and dawn arrived
hope began
she'd survive

Her crew had found
a very special place
where hearts can heal
with love and space

The route began
on URL PIP
navigation was hell
but worth the trip

From every continent
these angels flew straight in
oooops or Bal and Toe
giving wide-eyed grins

Elizabeth with God Bless
WhtDove with her prayer
Sunshine with her smile
Nan always there

PdV who makes me laugh
Marge with her loving pen
Hoot and Denise giving hope
not forgetting sexy Sven

DarkAngel and her love of rainbows
Martie I'll never forget nineteen seventy four
Windrider: Me a darkened soul?.
Munda wicked, polite and so much more

Severn and your curving style
Poertree the giving of a hand
Justin Kace and Tess
four more from wonderland

Danny always complimentary
and Justine Enuff what can I say?
Tom - a song without a note?
You make a Rainbow want to stay

Mistikman, Cerenity and H-systems
thank you for adding to this
Rex at 72 your smile is wide and warm
Walt I hope you holiday is sheer bliss

Lucky oh Lucky your poems I really love
Rosemary - a site for caring eyes
two hearts that share an equal hug
caring that goes beyond a smile

Lost Dreamer give my regards to the alien
Andrew I love when you're the host
Haleyja your humour is above rumour *g*
jmlee thanks for the bless within your post

Angel, I knew you lived on earth
Aimster I'll take the bless with grace
CGGrim it's hard to go, was that it?
everyone has their place

Eagleone I hope you travel safely on your wings
Doreen - Me sneak out? I flew..
Craig gave me a Rainbow
a gift I treasure in every hue

Terry I know the sound of silent tears
Rebel to love without a cause..
CJS a sister both loving and dear
Corazon live your dreams allow no pause

JTF we met once "in dreams"
as laughter paved the way
lit by a single candle
the heaven of yesterday

Liz the lady with grace and courage
Pepper and Suthern hearts of pure gold
please always hold my hand
till time can not be told

I love you

Yeah,
I think we do need a patchwork quilt.  We'll just hug this one to the top again, since we are on a roll with it!

Now, you see...this is exactly why...when I left...I never told a soul...you people are all way too loveable...you would've talked me out of it too...uh...which brings me to the point...why did i come back?

These hands of mine are ever and always reaching out to you
To pull you close in loving hugs... or give a kick or two... *S*
Without you, this ole Mother Hen would sure be feeling blue
For you add colors to my life in every rainbow hue.

I love patchwork quilts... seemingly unrelated pieces sewn together with love and memories to create beauty and warmth... your "Patchwork Quilt" poem is wonderful... even if you did try to hide it! *G* Big hugs!
