Legend

Blackest pitch of night
Innocence will not prevail
In darkest dungeons
Love has failed

Removed was the armour
That exposed Satan’s soul
Even pleads of desperation
Won’t deliver from the devil’s hole

Speak no more of freedom
Dark ears only listen with a grin
In flames of fearless fire
To late to repent your sin

A sacred soul up for sale
The devil will always buy in the end
Eternity in hideous Hell
Forever to partake in his legend

Marina,
Sinister, but well written.  Nice job!!

This is different.  Chilling for sure.
Good indication of your broad writing ability.

Taliara and Lone Wolf, thank you.

Danny. I was getting a little bored with my same old writing...so I thought Id try something a little bad.  Well perhaps dark would be a better word, being as I'm somewhat bad in adult. ( a least that's what they tell me...although I'm sure I don't know!)

Marina~
Guess my read is a little different ...

I found it uplifting in the sense that
it serves as a reminder to me that satan is a 'living' legend that I don't want to meet up with.

'A sacred soul up for sale
The devil will always buy in the end
Eternity in hideous Hell
Forever to partake in his legend'

Quite graphic and certainly showcases
your versatility.  Good work.

Okay, first about the poem. . . this was excellent Marina. . . you have captured your subject well. . . "A sacred soul up for sale", I like the idea. . .

Now, you know I couldn't let that second one go Marina!!  You're not just "somewhat" bad. . . you're downright terrible!!  LOL

I think "speak no more of freedom" captures the very essense of love that failed and a living hell.   James
