Leave me alone It's true I miss you hon and the companionship we always shared. I liked you hon but not the pain we shared. In the beginning when we met my heart thought oh happy day. Til you left me alone time after time and my life was filled with dark and dreary days. Oh yeah..its true we shared some happiness.. still things were never quite right we never could seem to fit. It seems like it was a game you played and it could only end like this. And yes, I did tell you to leave me alone. And so one day you said to me hey, you get your way I'll leave today and you'll be all alone. Since you've gone away I wonder if you could ever say that I did try in many ways to win your love and take your heart away. Alas..it was all to no avail you would always make sure my attempts would fail. So now I know I must finally say I Love you hon but please go away. I just might love you til I die...but goodbye. I truly thought at one time we would be together forevermore but now I must say to you nevermore. My love I tried but our love has truly died. This is good. It can be really difficult to stick with this attitude but in the long-run it usually ends up being best...otherwise you get burned or hurt over and over again. Once you come to this realization atleast once... I mean fully come to this realization...it makes it a bit easier to tell the other person to "go away" with more force and strength which usually leads you to feel better about it. It makes the whole situation a lot easier to deal with (atleast that's what I've found, though it may be different for you). Thanks Rainbow I do need lots of hugs right now..I'm looking for the light..I am staying in my emotions quite a bit lately. Thank you Hoot Owl I know I must..I guess I really am an introvert...you know how extroverts don't let themselves become bogged down with their feelings and emotions. Thank you Raven I'm sure I will...I have lots of hope. Thanks Molly I have been working with this for just a short time and applying what I have learned to new relationships also...sometimes you have to tell people to leave you alone and to go away..for the benefit of both. This is a great poem, I can truly relate. I think we need to hug each other because that is exactly how I feel about my 'hon' I love him but I want him to leave me alone now. TOUCHING TO MY HEART!! |

Marina you are so encouraging..thank you. I would love to hug you busylisa...she is gone but thoughts still linger in my heart and I truly did tell her recently that I didn't want her to come back. Not that easy for me to say...but something I had to do. Thank you Claire and yes I am growing. Hopefully I will finally come to the place where I can let go...I thought that I did about six to nine months ago but sometimes my thoughts and feelings are fresh and vivid. Thank you Janet Marie and did I ever tell you I love it when women call me baby. My goal is to become stronger and more in control of my feelings and emotions. James |

Thats's a horrible situation for you to be in. It seems like you're going to be fine, I really hope you will be. Thank you Enola for your encouragement...this was something I needed to do but did not have the courage to do until this past year or two. I appreciate the love and hugs. Corrine I wish that I could agree with you yet I consider myself a failure in the understanding love category. This relationship lasted over four years before I could finally tell her that I didn't want her back. And she had left for over a year and then told me she was coming back..so I had one year to prepare my response and it still was not easy for me to tell her I don't want you to come back. She stole my heart and still won't give it back...she won't admit that she doesn't love me. I now know the right one will want me just as much as I want her. Thanks for the understanding heart. Thanks lonewolf and you are right...especially the part where I must accept the nevermore. I appreciate that Broken wings I think enough time has passed for me to linger in the hurt and the pain and it is time to be angry and determined to move on with my life. James |
