The Present
Standing here in blissful tranquillity,
Forest fires lighting up the sky,
Illuminating my senses,
I no longer live a lie.
Moral dilemmas blow it all away,
The torment, fragmented butchery,
Unwilling and no longer subtle.
My natural being, I ask you why…
This destruction is no necessity,
Yet appears with so much ease.
I damn you though you never leave,
Will your hold on me never cease?

The Future?
Standing here in treacherous  tranquillity,
Forest fires lighting up the sky,
Illuminating my senses.
All I do is lie.
It is my fault you see,
The truth it will transpire,
It was me who made these souls die,
It was me who lit the fire.
The hope is lost,
What was done, is done.
Now all that is left of me,
Is an aching desire to turn and run.

The tragedy of it is that nobody sees the look of desperation on my face. Thousands and thousands of us, and we're passing one another without a look of recognition.

 and you can say baby...
baby can I hold you tonight
maybe if told you the right words...
at the right time,

***Enola,
Please do not run!
You have alot to stay for.

This poem is great, (as usual). It is very cleverly written.

Well Done!

Cool poem Debs, hows it going with you are you Ok, you haven't been your usual bubbly self recently, I think this is your best poem yet and the way you have made up the verses is great.

With poetry as your weapon - express your iner feelings so all may carry your sorrow, united as one .

Janet Marie, Poet deVine - thank you yet again!
infinat3 sadn3ss - "you feel you cant trust me ", that's not true, it never has been and never will be.
mete out - thanks for the e-mail, it brightened a rather dismal day.
