May the wind carry you,
Safe passage over troubled waters
Dark and bottomless too,
Stray from drowned and sunken martyrs
In all that you do

Set your sails to catch the breeze,
A vessel that will be propelled
A splash of spray to tease,
Breaking the waves where oft compelled
Sail now, upon my sea

Let my body carry you,
Underneath forever in the stars
Bright and eternal too,
Smooth the violence of troubled waters
If it’s the last thing we do

So come and begin the journey,
Promise not to sink in the swells
Of varying depths of me,
Where once I rose, and then fell
Come and sail upon my sea

Sir, the last stanza of this left me breathless..."Promise not to sink in the swells
Of varying depths of me..."

You have such a way with nautical words...exquisitely done.  I envy this maiden who with you sails!     More, more!

oh ... how i love the depths of you...(smile)
Jer, this one takes my breath and my words.
you are perfect...and so is this poem
stalking you with pleasure...
your jm

 and you can say baby...
baby can I hold you tonight
maybe if told you the right words...
at the right time,
you'd be mine...
baby can I hold you tonight...

Thanks, PFF, as always...the maiden in question will enjoy your words...
I'm just glad this site is up and running right again *L* Crossing my fingers though...

You snuck in on me while i was replying JM. I am speechless with your reply. THAT takes my breath away...

no longer sailing stormy waters...
I float contently on a sea of blue.
with mystic winds blowing thru my hair...
and as always...there are my thoughts of you.

I owed you...(smile)
stalking you in contentedness,
your jm

 and you can say baby...
baby can I hold you tonight
maybe if told you the right words...
at the right time,
you'd be mine...
baby can I hold you tonight...

JML,

It seems that you have found the wind that fills your sails. . .

It shows in these words, I can see it very plainly. . .

Wonderful words my friend. . . this is indeed one of your best!!
