Hope against Hope

Your words
   swirl around
within the cruel
sea of my heart
  so cruel it is,
   only they
will splash around
       and play
with my emotions

your words
alone

will remind me
   of roller coaster
days,
as they echo
      throughout
my being

but,
you my dream
all misty and
unclear
    my hope
        against hope,
will drown
    flushed down
           deep down
  the S bend
       of my life

Dark Angel

*Sigh*. . . DA, this is just wonderful. . . I can feel the longing and the effect of those roller coster days. . . why do we have to have them?

This is one of life's unanswered questions. . .

Excellent writing, DA. I can feel the pain. It's hard when our dreams die. I wish you brighter happier days.

Someday, soon, the roller coaster will slow down. You'll get off. Shake off the past and move on. I'm here for you my friend until you're on your feet and the world stops reeling.

  the S bend

DA this is such a beautiful piece of writing but I am so sorry that this poem is from your heart and not ficticious wizardry. I do know that in time it will hurt a little more, and the sun will shine again - in the meantime I am here for you whenever you need someone to shelter you from the storm - always.......
