Forever In Your Heart

Once upon a dream long ago,
There was a princess and her knight,

She was brokenhearted,
For inside her heart,
There was no light,

She was very hurt,alone and sad,
The king knew of this,
He knew somehow this must change to good from bad,

So one day,
While the princess was away,
To the castle appeared a fine lad,

He was a brave knight,
One which held great honor,
He had come to ask the King of the hand of his daughter,

The King replied,
Why does thou want her?
For she is bitter and sad,
Sometimes she is angry and gets really mad,

The knight replied with a pleasant smile,
Let me work on her heart,If I may,
Let me take her into my garden of love for just for one day,

If I can break this heart of stone,
I will ask not of flesh or bone,
But the love of the princess's heart,
Shall be thy reward alone,

So agreed said the king,
Tonight meet her near the east wing,
Where music will be played with romance,
Upon this you two shall dance,

If her heart is not melted by ten,
You shall leave,
mever to return here again,

So the knight met the princess inside the east wing,
It was love at first sight,
Laughter, and romance filled the air throughout the night,

They danced, they talked, the clock struck ten,
The knight whispered into the princess's ear,
When shall I see you again?

Tomorrow I shall see thee, my knight,
She walked away,
Faded into the light,

On his way down the castle stairs,
The knight met the king,
Who questioned tonights affair,

The king replied, what was it that broke the spell?
The coldness of her heart?
Please do tell, it is tearing me apart,

The knight replied,
Truth, honesty,humor and laughter,
But it was compassion and love,
Thats what really mattered,

She spoke, I listened,
She cried, I comforted,
She laughed , I laughed,

But it was the poetry,
The words from which my heart bled,
That warmed her soul and awakened the heart that was dead,

Not knowing was I,
That poetry is her passion,
She read her poem to me,
Which was written in the same fashion,

So it was a meeting of souls,
One of fate and kindred spirits,
It was not I or magic to imply,

But as simple as the love of poetry,
That both had shared,
Where true feelings no longer hide and flowed without a care,

Upon this day and forever,
Their words still leave their mark,
For the Knight became her King,
THE KING OF HER HEART,

The poetry they shared has touched thousands of wretched souls, whose broken hearts were severed,

The Princess and her knight, live inside their Kindom of love and laughter,
Where Souls meet and bond and live happily ever after!

In the world of make-believe and fantasy,
Once upon a dream became a reality!
