Ok, I'm going to an acedemic competition tomarrow and Monday that my sister won for my school all 4 years she was in H.S., so that's what the "competition" is. As for this NOT being free-form, I decided to give stuctured poetry another try... so, here's my attempt. Tomorrow, I go to competition Deja vu, they’ll say Because I’m doing what my sister did I’m going my sister's way I didn’t exactly mean to But it happened anyway Pressure from everyone I know Sent me down my sister’s way Although some ways she has are good Some aren’t nice, they say But, right or wrong, good or bad I’m stuck on my sister’s way For once, I’d like to make it clear That I’m ERICA, not Jenny But there’s just too many things we share People just nod and say, “I see...” We have too much in common, her and I For people to tell us apart From our writing to intelligence Each comparison breaks my heart Maybe someone will tell us apart But, until that day I’ll still be going full speed Down my sister’s way < !signature--> "We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars." -Oscar Wilde [This message has been edited by LoveBug (edited 03-18-2000).] |

Little LoveBug~ Ahhhh ! One of those sibling things ! You did a wonderful job on this. No matter how fierce the competition .. you'll always be a winner in the hearts of your Passion's friends. (and I'll bet lots of others too) You must have a nice sister, to have marked a path so clear. Just one way of keeping you close and in her heart so dear. Structured suits you nicely.
