I sit in class all day
Wanting to go out and play
In the ocean with water so cool
'stead of German like a fool

Staring out at skies of blue
Stuck in class like super glue
Teacher prattling on and on
Can't stop the urge to yawn

Oh I would love to be at the beach
Instead of in here with the Teach
Sand and sun and relaxation
Not this mental exasperation!

Oh how I remember those school days! I'd never want to go back, that's for sure! The only thing I miss is summer vacation!! I'm so happy that I inspired this from you! This is cute! Speaking of school, I had two years of German and one year of Spanish and the only thing I remember is one Christmas poem in German....what a waste, huh? Try to use it from time to time so you don't forget it!

I'm with Denise on this one    I didn't care much for school either, especially not the H.S. years.

I do love the poem and it gave me some memories and a good chuckle!

Hey! This is cool! I love the humor in here.. Hate to tell you, but I loved school. I enjoy learning so it wasn't a hardship for me...can't think of one class that I didn't like...hmmm..nope not one!

Loved this Travis! I'm with PdV, I enjoyed learning but I do have a class that I hated. Senior year Economics, I wanted the coarse but the teacher was very dry and uninteresting. I can relate to the feeling of wanting to be in the sunshine when the weather turned nice though. I am so much an out doors kind of person.   Great writing!

dsnyder- heh, I am still taking german and I am already forgetting it. Maybe I should go to class more often, heh   Thanks for replying

WhtDove- H.S. blows, its as simple as that, but I will miss it when I am gone, I have 3 really good teachers this year, but also 2 really bad ones. thanks for replying

wayoutwalt- lol, thanks walt

Poet deVine- Ok, I have nothing against learning, 3 out of 5 of my classes I enjoy going to every day, and to which this poem doesnt apply. Course, I also have 2 classes that each suck 55 minutes out of life every day

Marilyn- How odd, that is one of my 2 despised classes, heh. The teacher isnt only boring, she isnt very bright. My english teacher goes off on regular rants on why she shouldnt even be teaching, its kinda funny
