               Desires well

I visited my catacombs,
With dragons on encrypted stones.
Then held a light above my head
And knew damn well they were not dead.

Where dancing shadows played the light,
Red eyed dragons filled the night.
I felt them in my heart as well
And heard them coming up from hell.

I knew that I would die this place.
Entombed with dragons of my lace.
And here would lie my weathered bones,
Besides encrypted dragon stones.

I held my old and withered lance,
To meet the dragon fixed in glance.
And prayed to God my youthful goal,
When I was gone, he take my soul.

The dragon breathes its flames of fire,
And I'm ablaze in passions ire.

Ya know Sy? You just amaze me with everything you post and of course this is no exception. Very intense in feeling. I can almost feel the fire and smell the smoke. Very well written.

Sy,
The poetry was so well said
I knew his soul was not near dead
In fact it breathed a youthful flare
And posed the dragons into dare
The poetry caused them to pause
And break out in a wild applause
Bravo! Well done

Marge

Thank you for sharing your lovely art - and it is a beautiful tribute for a wonderful man.

Seymour's poem makes me cry - it is perfection.
