Again we are frustrated
By a cause that's all but lost
Course of action contemplated
Under night skies now star-crossed

Forward movement is impeded
As once more light fades to dark
Where day has not succeeded
Will night re-ignite the spark

And the fire burn as brightly
Once again when comes the morrow
Fueled by doubt which is un-sightly
Fanning flames of human sorrow

Killing time we are consuming
Things that may not be re-newed
That is of course assuming
We don't run out of food

You said it true
now I am blue
for my pretty days
are full of haze

Makes me think of the lyrics,
what's to do about it?
lets turn off the lights
and go to sleep.

Liked you poem Doc.

Yep - really good - I like the last stanza.... "Killing time we are consuming..."

You never fail to catch my attention, Doc..
