A Simile of  Love

I ventured out one morning so as to walk along the shore
To be alone & collect my thoughts
I escaped out my front door

But as luck would have it , the sun than disappeared
The wind began to howl
Just as I  had feared

The clouds began to gather, the sky became than dark
This day was remnant of  my life
A simile of  my broken heart

For my love affair ,  had started of  like sunshine
Warm  & enticing was your embrace
Moments filled with laughter
Existing  now only in my memory , in the shadows I still chase

As the wind blew strong, direction of our love than changed
With out any warning , quietly you slipped away
Leaving me alone in darkness
In silence you then went astray

The clouds release my tears , the rain
I begin my journey home I allow the memories to than fade
still I ask the question though
why?

Does it always rain on my parade?

In every life a little rain must fall

Raven~
Hello, little one.  So pleased that the spirits have led you to this place.
It is serene with many friends who are caring and loving.

Your poem is enchanting, soft and yet powerful with emotion.
I'll share my umbrella with you.

I AM SOOOOOOO GLAD YOU CAME HERE, my friend.
I send spirits of love and friendship
to guide you.
Love to you ~*Marge*~

Ah..but would we ever appreciate the sun as much if we didn't have the rain?

Thank You for your reply and comments. True it is that the rain reminds me of the beauty of sun. In truth I prefere the rain It acts like a clensing for me washing away the problem. so that I am able to look forward to new days of sunlight.
