Adrenaline and endorphines
The physiology of love

Could roughly be wrought
bungee jumping
or eating chocolate

But what muse fired by
Rubber bands and Chips Ahoy?

There must be something more
Something more

jumped me from a coffin
cold Elvis dead
gracelanded in state
embalmbed in a Jack Danieled
Pity Party

Something more
Mused me into lexarkana
Waxed me to breathe in
Oh-2

Mini skirted muses cum
Going on and on of
Endless passion

Flirting fawning femininity
Flocks to sinuous shoulders and
Deep eyed tousled hair
Barbie Dolled smiles and
Pretty perfume

But something more
Moved me from a stranded
Beach
wailed

Something more required
Than brain chemistry
But

Merely
You

Hate is a dead thing. Who of you would be a tomb? -Kahlil Gibran

Why must you always grab my attention, so?!

"But what muse fired by
Rubber bands and Chips Ahoy?"

Fantastic lines...although, you'd be surprised at the seductive draw of a well made chocolate chip cookie.

Always a fan, just now speaking up.  Keep writing!

May I never be too busy to help another's load,
Then I'll be drinking from the saucer 'cause my cup has overflowed.

I liked this poem alot--especially the last line--seemed to answer the something more question.

This made me laugh a little but made me ponder seriously too, L.R. )not always an easy task)...LOL  The ending simply sweeps you away. Wonderful job.

Now that's a real compliment Hottie... thanks...

I always write in layers so the real message is encrypted to the one with the decoder ring... lol  but try to make it broad enough for anyone to read... thanks again...

And Micheal -- thanks also -- yours is a very astute read I think -- I've always thought a touch of humor the best way to communicate the most serious of subjects...
