Purgatorial Incarceration

St. Michael Fell On Me

un-sheltered.
alone...
inside the rancid womb
of another
twilight;
dawning perfection-
I find myself
aching
begging for the feel
of that,
the dark currents of comfort
which nightly greet
this torpid soul
in loving caresses

these demons ten
the visage of
my lifetime's leaking pen
accost
the frayed edges
of my un-sanity
with familiarity
bred as is best
from inside a nest
formed solely
of the assurances
wrought
through millennia
of
unerring contempt.

You know - I just got in and am very very tired.  I'm gonna reread this tomorrow to figure out if this was good or bad...LOL  Kind of sounds like you Envy this Michael guy...LOL  If those were my ten demons you're aching for - just remember who was being Greedy at the pool hall last night, or was that Lust striken...hmmm  By the way, you almost looked of age with that beer foam mustache...   Oh, to be me!

Alright - I've read it under more "aware" circumstances this morning.  Dare I say, this rocks!!! ?  Cause it does.  The first line grabs you by the throat!  And I so well can relate to the longing for it that soon follows...  Awesome work, bud - doesn't look like you're missing it now.

And here I expect a story of drunken lechery! This is wonderful! (But you knew that right?)

I, like Sharon, was expecting this to be about drunken lechery. This was exceptional Chris but then I expect nothing less from you.   I am glad you boys had fun.

"rancid wombs of twilight".....now there's a phrase for the ages! I shall continue to look for you both on America's Most Wanted.

Excellent writing, Chris
