As Hope Lay Undying

Drink deeply of this chalice red,
I've dubbed the color of regret.

It's filled to full of hope not dead-
To quench your thirst termed violet.

Eat this wafer, tinged forest green~
For envy now; what failed to last.

Your hunger-lust still yet unseen,
In blue-sky hue of this repast.

You dine on danger, what is done.
Torturing with pearly appeal.

For love is dead yet hope's still spun;
Fate's earthen curse is now revealed.

No closure when that spark of light
Beckons golden as morning's sun.

Demons are laughing in delight,
Since hope's blackened bane is now come.

Christopher - Christopher~
You light up the pages with the technicolor ink from your inkwell of delight.
I love this ... bet you knew I would !

Oh, I see how you are - post a poem we "concepted" together - while I'm stuck out on the highway driving...  And to do such a good job with it too...I hate you!!!

"By Love found dead, hope yet may live, Forever!!!"  Great poem Chris.

You know Chris, if we gave out awards for poetry here, I'd bet this one would win an OSCAR!!!    I mean, with all the dainty, pretty colors an such.  LOL

Sorry, couldn't help myself...LOL

OK - so you two had fun obviously...

Well, again - interesting springs to mind (but not in that bad way) - well crafted C.

***A hush fell over the crowd***
Amazed by the splendor of your talents.
You create a rainbow of colors within my monochomatic world.

You also gave me insight into your future....perhaps black and blue?? What do you think Michael???

***And then the deafening roar of applause***

Whoooeee, ain't it the truth?  Pretty potent stuff there m'friend.     (purty colors...)

May I never be too busy to help another's load,
Then I'll be drinking from the saucer 'cause my cup has overflowed.
