state of confusion

She wears the armor of modern life,
that cloaks the truth and dims the light,
keeping busy, guard up and ready,
but it all falls apart every night,

he’s in her heart, pierces her dreams
sadly, though, its never enough,
she’s cast her meaningless lot in life,
it’s collecting like marshmallow fluff,

sticky, sickly, sweet on her tongue,
she can’t escape this image of self,
blind to this genuine offer of love,
her slow demise of spiritual wealth

is costing her the rarest of gifts,
is not a gift if she can’t see it.

Corinne~
Wow !  This is powerfully done.
I envy the talent.
I doubt the venom rests in you ...
but you've seen that it rests somewhere,
with someone.
Very, very well done, my dear.

Ah, very sad when one is too afraid or too busy for love.....what then is life? Excellent writing Corinne!

Yep - here I am again thinking how wonderful your writing truly is...
haunting - it truly is haunting.

Corinne,
Mirror, mirror on the wall,
You are fair after all.
Just close your eyes to the fetish,
And you will have your lovely wish.

So let me re interpret this poem,

She wears cloaks,
that fall apart every night
of marshmallow fluff,
sticky, sweet on the tongue
this genuine offer of love.

I can taste this candy already,
poetry is such an interpetive
sport.
