Last night
I watched a teardrop
slowly trace it's way
across your lovely
cheek.
It hovered a moment
at the tip of your nose
as if to tease me
and make me feel ashamed
for hurting you so badly.
Finally it broke itself free
and came to a rest
on your soft pillow
to join countless others
of it's kind that I
never knew existed.

Wow Chris...revealing piece indeed and very sad.   If we could only live in a world without tears.

Lovely, detailed work. Poignant, though not pitiful...very nice writing, Chris.

WOW!!! Chris, this is excellent!! I'm not talking okay, or even good, but great. You need to get this one out to a publisher. It speaks so loud and clear. Wonderful job

ChrisG~

This one has 'heart and soul'.
Just lovely and the thought lingers ...
