Whimcicles Careening Downward

I know you all have your special little poetry book,
Filled with every last poem you've ever written,
Born from your mind's every last cranny and nook,
You hold it and stroke it like a helpless kitten,
I know you love that book,
I know you love that book,
I lost mine.
And I know all of you have your special little dove,
The love of your life,
Sent by your generous god above,
Sent to quell your every last stryfe,
Sent to hold you close, kiss, cry upon,
improve each other's life, soak each other with your tears, over the many years,
with but one life to live,
I know you love that dove,
I know you love that dove,
Mine overdosed on ecstacy.
Mine no longer lives.
Mine resides in microscopic ash particles drifting in the very air you now breathe,
Believe me, one day, something has to give.
And I know you all have dancing souls,
That adventured through your lives,
With so many stories untold,
Can you help me find my soul?
I seem to have lost mine.
I think I'm going to leave now.
I know you dont care.
I know you dont care.

This is a very touching poem. It speaks of isolation and pain so well. This is a place many poets have been I am sure. The book of poetry need not be lost. Sometime the best poetry is that which has yet to be written.

Fantastic title for this poem! Well done!
You have captured well the feeling of loneliness and despair.

Oh come on, after reading all those poems you probably have a good grip on how to write decent poetry. I'll be looking for yours!
