In the space between moments

0 posted 2000-03-11 11:00 PM

The chasm of my scarred existence,
Lays blanketed in fluid night,
Shifting in a frosty trance,
As sooted thoughts destroy the light.

The wings of my soul gently hang,
Leaden with weight of empty tears,
In mellow dreams, once I sang,
Until shrouded in darkened fear.

But sorrow will not fly forever,
For I will not allow it so,
Though torrent is the weather,
My spirit's flower soon will grow.

Every moment is a new beginning,
Every sunrise another chance,
Not always will this heart sing,
Nor will my soul always dance.

But with you standing by my side,
The darkness is not so black,
And if I should fall under the tide,
I know your love will bring me back.

*I want to thank all of you for the support you've been giving me.  And especially to you, Jeff, because you've never abandoned me when I've needed you.  I love you.*

That was beautiful Krista, it was more than wonderfull to see you write something positave and happy!  You have never abandoned me, and I promise you that I will try as hard as I can to continue being by you and supporting you in any way that I can.  I love you more than anything Krista, and will never stop.

Ahhh... you two are too sweet, if any pair can make me smile (or laugh  ) it's you two.

Great poem Krista, I was a little shocked to see my name in a title.  You know I'm here to help or listen if that is what you need.  It sounds like some light is coming back to you, and I am very glad to hear it so.

Alwye~
Friends are the blanket
to cover you when you're cold,
cuddle you when you cry
catch you when you feel you're falling
and wrap you with security until you
stand on your feet again.

You are blessed with many.
HUGS to you.

this is VERY beautiful and moving...and a perfect tribute to the gift that is this place we call Passions...so many special caring people who touch us with their words, give us encouragemnet and offer strength with their friendship...
we are all bound by our love of poetry and each other. I find much comfort in that thought.
take care, janet marie

Now for me some words come easy
But I know that they don't mean that much
Compared with the things that are said when lovers touch
You never knew what I loved in you
I don't know what you loved in me
Maybe the picture of somebody you were hoping I might be

~what janet said LOL. No seriously, this was so wonderful. I am happy to see that you are getting some positiveness back in your life and not giving up. Passions is such a wonderful place, I agree. It is filled with such loving people who take time out of their day to share poetry with us, but we all do more than that. We are bonded like Janet said by our friendship, and our words.

Thank you all so much!  I do realize that I'll see the light, and I'm learning to ask help when I need it.  I'm willing to fight.  Thanks again to everyone here for caring about lil ol me.

Kwissa,

Very lovely poem!  You never send any of them out though!  You ought to send more out instead of me having to hunt them down!  It's about time you start caring about yourself!  You sure deserve it, because you are the bestist person in the world!  Just like so many more, if you need help or anything, I will still be here for yah!

Sometimes the most important things can't be seen with the eyes, but are rather felt with the heart.

A wonderful poem of hope, it's often very easy to help someone else but so much harder to ask or accept it for ourselves I'm so happy that you have found the light that burns within you and so glad that you have wonderful friends that you feel safe enough with to let them help you.  A heartwarming poem thank you so much for sharing it.

Beautiful poem.  I was surprised, too, to see my name in the subject line.     You'll always have my support and everyone else's.  Can't let our unicorn fade, can we?

Krista, I will always be here for you when and if needed.  As you said - "only have to ask"...and don't think I won't be checking up on you if you don't.  Thank you for mentioning me in the dedication always remember there are SO many people here who would do anything for you.  You are a fighter - this shows it well, too.

Thank you all so much, for as Astraea put it, "not letting our unicorn fade"..it means the world to me to have you all support me.  I thank you once again for everything.
