A glorious day, no need for a coat,
Light, powder puff clouds in the sky,
The flowers beginning at last to step out
Now I just have to ask why??

Why is it only 20 degrees,
With eight inches of snow on the way,
Ice covers the trees, it's crystal delight,
But what happened to yesterday??

The birds are not too happy,
They left their warm home in the south,
Now they have to break through snow,
Just to try to fill that small mouth.

The baths they took left them frozen,
Now they'll have colds and sneezing fits,
Their feathers frozen - not ruffled,
They've even lost the lice and their nits.

Welcome to March in Western New York,
It's a beautiful place to be
But this time of year it's hard to solve,
This perpetual mystery.

BSC~
Well .... don't want to rub it in BUT
I got an all-over tan today !
A dip in the lake.
Posies picked.
Sweet orange blossom fragrance
wafting across the yard.
Little birds darting around the lawn.
Ahhhhh!  Spring has come to stay.
(I may live to eat these words)

Uh-oh .. guess I do want to flaunt
it just a little.

Great poetic look at your weather.
Send those birds back south !

Denise - I'm with you....Cannot wait!!!!!
Marge - Well, I'll send the birds if you send some of those orange blossoms......of course, I doubt that the birds will be thawed but... and I tried to take a dip in the lake, but I couldn't break through the ICE....and I did some color in my face...of course it was from wind burn.....but all is not lost...yet.
